Here we go again....
Windows XP SP3
AMD 64 x2 4200 2.21Ghz
2GB RAM
ATi x1900xtx

ALright. Now on Iron Eagle. I sit at the loading screen, it takes an amazingly LONG time to load. Then it Crashes to desktop. No error given.
Cannot run windowed, as it cuts off much of the screen, and still crashes.
Tested on multiple servers that have Iron Eagle.

You can run in windowed mode, just change the resolution by adding +szx 1680 +szy 1000 after fullscreen 0. Or whatever your resolution is.

I would make a copy of the original shortcut first though. So you dont need to change it all over again when you want to play in a normal screen.

Negative. Does not work at all. Plus..why play windowed? Everything would be so small I cant see anything.
Not all of use can afford extra large monitors.

Because you get the error message in windowed mode unlike in fullscreen.

I've noticed that those with 3 gigs of RAM or 4gigs of RAM using Windows XP 32bit tend to crash more often than those using 4gigs of ram with Windows Vista(x86/64), 7(x86/64), or XP(64)

I never get an error message either, it's just a crash to the desktop with nothing in the event viewer to tell me what happened. I am glad they are trying to sort out a fix becuase this game has become unplayable for me in it's current state, it's just a bit pointless keep trying to join a game with a squad and getting this CTD.

The only thing I did notice when it happened to me this time, is the guy infront of me got disconnected 8 seconds before me, but I'm not sure if he got the CTD or just left. I do hope they can fix this because I never had any problems with the last patch and it's the only game I play.

Windows 7 64bit.

Ok so on my thread that got closed someone said make sure to play on 0.957D servers. Did this come with the version i downloaded off the main page? If not where do i get this? He was talkign about hotfixes and such, but where do i get them, unless they already come witht he version on the front page?

Edit

Oh and to add to these crashes, even playing on 0957D, the whole screen just starts to freeze and i can still hear my self being able to move around and shoot, but on my screen its all frozen and if someones infront of me there name will be all over the screen the more i move my mouse, the whole screen gets fudged up.

Ok well all my problems are fixed now. All i had to do was put textures on medium. I can play now, but all the textures suck....

Let me tell my problems

1) In Beirut map, if i deploy "alternative" map, i can join the game and play it without problems. But if i deploy "standart" map, loading screen comes to %100 and then i get crash to destktop (no error message). I guess it is because of the new APC added to IDF.

2) I have the same CTD problem in Iron Eagle and Gazza Beach maps. (standard+alternative).

Also i have no problem in skirmish maps of all these maps.

Note: i apply your advice (right click your PR shortcut and go to properties+In the Target section, add a space and then "+fullscreen 0") but nothing change.

My system is:
Intel Core 2 2.00 GHz CPU
2 GB RAM
Ati X1950 Pro
Win 7 64 bit

Consistent crash at at 13% of new map loading. I have made it from Lashkar(skirmish) to Kokan(64) and a map change on muttrah only server without crashing once.

Error Message: the 2 i've caught.

Tested On:

TG server: TG-server (iron eagle), and BW-server(Kokan)

I keep getting the same error on all servers and this crash happens 100% of the times when Kashan is loading next!
But I got core 2 duo CPU, 2 GB RAM and 9800GT with 1GB VRAM.
