Me and some other members of my unit were on our training server adjusting ourselves better to the deployable mortars. I went out to spot the shots for the mortar team and there were two instances when it seems a mortar shot bounced.
Server name: 3/75 Training Server
Map: Lashkar Valley
Game mode: Insurgency
Description: The mortars were set to impact and most of them hit the target area. The two shots that bounced sounded like they were coming in to impact, then there was no explosion. About 20-30 seconds later I could hear the mortar explode roughly 200-400 meters away. There were no other people around on the server to where it may have been an explosion caused by anything else other than a mortar. So far, Lashkar Valley is the only map we've noticed this probable bug occuring on.

What do you mean? Were there people standing in the target area?RealKail wrote:The two shots that bounced sounded like they were coming in to impact,
Also, I don't really use mortars much, but I believe that a little height disadjustment (specially in Lashkar Valley) is quite deadly... Also, is there any deviation on mortar rounds with conventional factions? Because I know Insurgents and Taliban has it.

I was close enough to the target area I could hear when the mortars were dropping in to impact. The two that bounced sounded like they were coming in to impact but they never did, though some seconds later they could be heard impacting in the distance.goguapsy wrote:What do you mean? The mortars do have small deviation in where the shots hit, but this wasn't deviation in any form.

Oh. The bouncing rounds are completely random, then?

yes the bouncing was random. Currently we haven't attempted to reproduce it but we may make an attempt at some point soon. It happened once when the target was at a higher elevation than the mortar position, and again when the target was on the same elevation.
