~A little Introduction~

Hi, i am ImperialKaskins from Malaysia, i have register on this forum but forget the password until 2day.


~A little bout me playing BF2 and other mod~
Well i have played Battlefield 2 for quite some time ( Like 3-4 years ago. ) and i have never encounter this error until this week. But before that this error happens i played FH2 and PR as well as all other BF 2 expansion pack.

~Problem~
When i start Battlefield 2. A black screen will appear as usual ( Well all games launch are like this )
But then the screen flicking and then back to desktop without any error msg. It seems that i played Battlefield 2 last week and is only recently happen. Even with FH2 it still the same, i assume is BF2 itself is the error.

~Step that i have taken~
I reinstall the whole game (BF 2) and patch up to 1.41 and then 1.50.
I install the latest DirectX Download DirectX 9.0c (full package) - the latest version of Direct X
I have install the BF2 Expansion pack.
Run as Admin
Run compatible in XP SP 3 or SP 2
I have read the Sticky notes posted in this forum
I have reformat my PC ( Window 7 ultimate 32 bit / x86 ) / ( Clean installation ) I did it 4 Times.
|--I reinstall ATi 5850 Driver ( Latest 1 after i reformat my PC )
|--Reinstall DirectX after i reformat my PC
|-- I Install C++ microsoft
|-- Framework 3.5 also i have install

~Last Steps that i have taken b4 posting it here~
Remove the C:Users\****\Document\Battlefield 2 and let it make by default ( That means open in game and let it make on its own )
Adjust Video setting in Battlefield 2\Profile\Default\Video ( Open by Notepad )

~Other Options~
I run EA Info, it said all pass except Windows. It said it need Window XP. But PC B is Window 7 also still can run.

~What i didn't install is~
PunkBuster ( Why should i need it? I don't go online )
Gamespy
Register EA after installation

~Comparing with other PC~
Well to tell ya guys, i have 5 PC i list all 5 PC out

~Other Games that rundl32 happens~
PC A and C cannot run Battlefield 2. ( When i go Task Manager Ctrl + Alt + Delete , it said Rundll32 ) It will be running like an hour still nothing. Even other games are like this,
Example-
Rome Total War series ( But the mods are not affected with Rundll32 )

~Deleting rundll32~
But i delete this Rundll32 by openning 2 games. ( for example, I click BF2.exe and it running Rundll32. Then i open Project Reality ) It run Project Reality and i open task manager and end task for Rundll32. The game when smooth. But before all of this i did it long ago for Rome Total War for Window XP. I open 2 Rome Total War and remove rundll32, it automatic remove 1 of the Rome Total War.
But not for an hour.



~Others~
PC A, B and C can run high End games like ( Empire Total War, Resident Evil 5, and etc )


~PC unable to play BF2~
PC A
PC C - Both XP and Window 7
PC D

~Windows Bit~
All Windows are 32 Bit except PC D windows is 64 Bit

Editted: Cannot be Battlefield 2 game have an expire date from EA ? Or a virus? I make a clean installation also. d|=.=|b

Oh and i edited so many times because i forget some info.

And last but not least. I update all my PC driver already as well as directX.


I thing i know this has been brought up before. but mine is different.
and i cant find the sticky notes about this. Or did i missed it?

Search engine is slow. Internet here sucks. :S

-Problem Located at installing BF2
Install BF 2
Updated to 1.1 and install BF2 SF
Updated to 1.41 <--- Updated Error
Updated to 1.5. <--- Updated Sucessful without knowing 1.41 is corrupted
