uhhhh?? do you need anything :D ???
-Install BF2
-Install patch 1.42
-Install patch 1.5
-Install PR 1, 2, 3
-Install Mumble
-Read Manual
--> PROFIT!

P.S.
1st: If you were enough smart to use the search function, you would notice, that there are plenty of threads explaining how to do it (and the manual itself)
2nd: CHILL OUT!

Have fun and don't make useless threads Thank you.

I had the same problem on Windows 7
Try going to your video con files.
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default
Open the file with wordpad (as ADMIN)
Edit your setting to low and put correct resolution.
Something like this..

Code: Select all

VideoSettings.setTerrainQuality 1
VideoSettings.setGeometryQuality 1
VideoSettings.setLightingQuality 1
VideoSettings.setDynamicLightingQuality 1
VideoSettings.setDynamicShadowsQuality 1
VideoSettings.setEffectsQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureQuality 1
VideoSettings.setTextureFilteringQuality 1
VideoSettings.setResolution 1280x1024@60Hz
VideoSettings.setAntialiasing 2Samples
Let me know if it works..

And yeah..
Do not make a second thread about the same problem..

Right click on wordpad icon.
Run as Administrator.
Open file
Make sure you have all files selected (not just RTF format)
Click your way to C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default
and then the videocon icon.
Change the settings
Save the file and close Wordpad.
Start PR

This mod is free. The PR-Staff does not earn money with it. Every minute spent answering questions or writing instructions or making the mod is personal free time. This is why there can't and won't always be a prompt answer or a 100% fool-proof instruction. Unless you take it on yourself.

As to your problem:
After installing PR you will see a link to the PR manual, Section 1 holds the installation instructions.

To have that folder in the screenshot filled start the regular Battlefield 2 and retrieve or create an account. This will initialize all files.
Got a PROBLEM? Check this: PR:BF2 Installation Guide

Got a common QUESTION? check here first: PR:BF2 FAQ, MUMBLE FAQ

"Hello, IT! ... Yes, have you tried turning it on and off again?"

I do not understand your question.

Your PR shortcut will run a pr.exe which in turn will start the bf2.exe.

Sometimes it is (only once) required for initialization to start the normal BF2. Create the account. Close BF2 and then start PR.

Also it would be helpful if you would respond to specific suggestions with what you have done (esp. if there were multiple suggestions) whether it worked or not or if you couldn't for some reason do what was suggested.

For instance, I am still not sure if you really installed patches 1.41 and 1.5 for BF2. (Make sure it is 1.41 and not simply 1.4 and also that the installers finish without errors).

Okay when i open PR.exe in admin, it opens up too the dog tags, it then goes to the black screen than a gresyish blackish color than the whole thing just exits out, I installed the 1.41 patch like it did in the instructions and 1.5. If i may ask do you have a teamviewer?
