When instead of saying "yes", you respond by "10-4".

When while on deployment in helmand you make PR videos with your mates.

When you play Call of Duty after playing PR and think it's 50x faster-paced than normal.
Or you play so much that you tell other people that your "squadmates need you" when they try and get you to do RL stuff while you're playing

I was at a presentation of IBM systems involving something like database replication, serious business stuff... The presenter from US asked if there is any question, I raised my hand and said:
"On the slide 21, you mentioned a scenario when the update is made on the first firebase... I mean... database, and the update information is sent to the second, but the connection is lost..."
The guy had a weird look on his face, like he was thinking "did he just said firebase? why would anybody mention firebase? how the hell can you pop a world like FIREBASE? who the f*** is this guy?". Imagine a cashier returning you money saying "Here's your .50 cal placement, thank you and come again."

Whenever I'm walking my dog, the farmers are driving their tractors down the road, and in the distance, they sound just like a Challenger 2. I actually start to get worried about it...

You know you have played too much PR when you check the tires of your car for mines before you get in.
...when your first instinct upon hearing a helicopter is to seek shelter.
Both of these have happened. I'm so ashamed.
