Make sure your installer files are not corrupted, this might help you with it:

although this might be different symptoms it is still possible that there is a relation to your other problem, so referencing or using the same thread would be in order for helpers to get the whole picture...

are you sure you installed both patches for bf2 before you installed project reality?
