Noob needing help
I admire the work that has been done especially as a newcomer but my first few games were anything but great. When I spawned, I was in the middle of no where and couldnt find my squad. And once I did find some teammates we didnt do much. Most of the guys waited at a train station (hopefully that tells you what map I was on because I have no clue). Another game lasted a long time but still not much happened.....Any help. I havent fully read the manual but I think my biggest prob is that I have no clue where teammates or important things are. And as stated above once I find them not much happens.

PR is a learning process. 3 years after I started playing, I still learn new things in PR everyday.
1. get a mic
You dont need one, but it helps immensely to communicate within your squad.
If you have one, join a squad and tell them you're new, they will be glad to help you.
(You can do it over chat too)
2.Do everything the SL says
Self-explanatory. I shoot SMs who dont follow orders.
3. Stick to basic kits at first
Dont get a LAT or a Marksman kit if its your first time playing PR. I would recommend being a standard rifleman or a medic to ease yourself in.
Thats all I have, search the forum for noob guides and such. There have been over 9000 threads exactly like this.

Unfortunately, thats how PR goes. Most of the time everything is slow and somewhat boring but those few times that the action heats up is enough to make you want to come back. Try finding a squad that works together and follow what your squad leader tells you.that guy wrote:I find them not much happens.
If all else fails, ask for help. Most PR players are friendly and willing to help.

Use your squad map (default Caps Lock?) and look for green dots or vehicle markers, which represent your squad-members' position(s). You should also ask your squad-leader for instructions as to where to spawn. You can also access the squad screen by going on to the limbo (or spawn) menu and clicking on the squad tab.
Good luck!

Read the manual, use chat in-game (after learning the key from the manual), and play a populated server.
I understand your problem, but it is the result of someone not reading the How To, and instead jumping into a game to do Uber l33t stuff, which is not what PR is about.
As mentioned, get a mic, then join a VOIP squad. Make sure the Squad Leader has officer kit (not Automatic Rifleman, or Sniper). They are the only ones worth joining, and the SL will take care of you and nurture you, rather than what your one did (i.e. make a squad to get special kit then ignore his squad members).
You will have fun, I recommend playing Insurgency at first (but don;t spawn at Unknown cache, or fire RPG's from the caches!).
Good luck, have the right atttude and you will enjoy yourself.

Re: Noob needing help
Always join a squad with the words "what kit do you need, where should I spawn?"
You won't need to find your squad if you tell them to find you. They'll place a rally point, or tell you to hold at the nearest forward outpost to regroup with them, or tell you where to meet them. Don't spawn before you know where to meet your squad. Oftentimes I idle in the squad selection screen until I see a good opportunity to join in (such as, when a squad I'd like to join currently is not in combat or near a forward outpost).
It's easiest to join into squads that recently respawned. They'll all be near a forward base or in the main, and pickup will be guaranteed.

Compas on bottom of screen+map helps you navigate to your squad. Green dots are squad members, and blues other teammates. Big dots whit numbers are squad leaders. Then there is different vehicles.

Re: Noob needing help
I would first recommend you choose servers carefully. As an American Tactical Gamer will be the best server you'll have good ping on(You are welcome to hop across the pond and get on the PRTA server though(Mumble required), and if you see me there just ask anything you want). Second, I would recommend you get PRMumble(Not a requirement, though).
When you join a server these are some rules of thumb:
Join a squad before you spawn
Open your CAPS LOCK map, click on squad names to see their position on the map. If a squad is spread out and/or the Squad Leader(SL) doesn't have an Officer kit(Double bars icon) you should avoid the squad. Find one that is working as a squad. When you join the squad your first action should be to ask the SL what kit he needs you to spawn with and where he wants you to spawn. Do what he says. Make it perfectly clear that you are new to the game so that the squad can help you out.
Stick to basic kits
PR is not a kit whoring game, specific equipment has specific tasks and requires some basic competence to utilize. You should stick to Rifleman, Medic, and Rifleman Specialist kits to begin with while you learn the basics before moving on to more specialized kits. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Do what the SL says, when he says it
PR requires a lot of teamwork, and teamwork requires a strict chain of command. When the SL tells you to do something you rely on his better judgment and knowledge of the situation and the game. The only exception here is if you're the Medic, in which case you should listen to him in all things except when it comes to Medic specific tasks, where you should always use your best judgment(After you have attained the necessary experience to understand the basics of PR, of course).
