Quite annoying problem you have got there!
You said you have tried reinstalling PR, but this is a BF2 issue. You should resort to reinstalling BF2.
Ok, find out what your sound card is, please.
If you have onboard and a sound card try with using the other instead (usually disabling in device manager should suffice).

lol, yea, little bugger of a problem doesn't seem to want to go away either!
Tried uninstalled PR and BF2, reinstalled all of the above and still have the problem, I'll have to get back to you on what my sound card is though

Re: Voip Receiving problem.
Aparently there's a soundcard in the GTX 470 (graphics card) and there's also one on my motherboard
EDIT: Also tried disabling the sound from the 470 and leaving just the onboard and that didnt work, tried disabling the onboard one and leaving the 470 one, and that left me with no sound at all

Re: Voip Receiving problem.
That GTX470 sound card is probably used for HDMI support (a port for sending Audio and Video signal through one cable)
As far as your problem goes... I am out of ideas, sry.

This is a long shot but have a look into your DirectX audio to find anything suspicious: Run "dxdiag". Make sure in all sound tabs it sais "No problems found".

Hmm im getting the problem again now when I run mumble. Mumble works, but i cant hear people through voip. BF2 is maxed volume on the mixer but still no sound.
The only thing I can think of is that my sound card is a Creative soundblaster Xfi and creative released crappy drivers for windows 7.

Re: Voip Receiving problem.
I had the same problem yesterday.
It started with no sound in the intro "videos", then there was no VoIP, but mumble worked although it came out through my speaker instead of headset.
Restarted my computer and it worked again.
