Or there can be check if enemy is close (like with Rally Point), if it is to some degree then you can't request kit immediately. This would support planing ahead your squad and team layout.
Just a quick thought though.

Re: Requesting certain kits.
If a team has a decent supply chain, they should benefit from such kits. If you're attacking a FOB, assume it's well supplied and full of infantry and deal with it accordingly.

Nah, I'm not a fan of this idea
I personally like it the way it is, I see it that infantry are easily able to transport AT weaponry in a truck, so them picking it up at a FOB really doesn't bother me.
I think if it were to be done this way it would be too hard to implement the AT weaponry, cause since there's no inventory system for transport vehicles the only way to have the heavy kits is to have them equipped, and no one wants to carry those around all the time haha
But as always I like the critical thoughts =D

There supply crates are just that. Supply crates. They do contain ammunition of all sorts, including AT weaponry. Keep an eye on them to avoid being AT'd.

Re: Requesting certain kits.
Is this a suggestion or feedback? If is a suggestion, the suggestions forum is closed at the moment due to a recent release, and will most likely be shot down by an R-Mod shortly.Dv83r wrote:I'm sure some of you have been in a situation where your in a tank and you attack an enemy FOB. Some guy requests a AT and takes you down. I find this unrealistic how FOBs built only a few minutes earlier already have enough firepower to adjust to any attack. I suggest that heavy kits like AT, AA, etc. can only be requested from the team's repair station back in their main base. Also, another suggestion for Crewman or Pilot kits should only be able to be requested from their applicable vehicles only and not from crates. Discuss please.
If it is feedback, try to post it in the right section of the forums yeah?

Wanted to create a similar suggestion but saw this thread.
Yes, Specialised kits should be requestable only from Vehicle depot. Its retarded when somebody says :" OMG theres a tank comming, go grab a HAT..."
Its stupid and kiknda exploitable, requires no planning excpet having crates.
Sniper, CE, HAT (dont think theres more) all fall under this category. Other kits are infantry kits and are ok. Also vehicle kits shouldnt be requestable anywhere except the vehicle, again, some forms of exploiting.

i like the idea a lot.
its really unrealistic when an APC comes into a fob and a guy hides behind a crate for a bit and pops out with a hat out of nowhere.

I support this idea because IRL, the soldiers go to battle with what they give em' in their base.
I had couple of other critics but I forgot them -.- .

There is also an AA kit.ChizNizzle wrote:Sniper, CE, HAT (dont think theres more) all fall under this category. Other kits are infantry kits and are ok.
They should leave requesting kits from APC though.

Re: Requesting certain kits.
Lets say you and your squad spawn on an FB and start defending. Then out of no ware an apc/tank starts attacking you. Does that mean you deserve to die because you didn't get a HAT kit from your main 4km away?
Giving vehicles whores a free pass is not going to make the game better, besides AT weapons are WIDELY used in the military. Perhaps it is time the development team lowered the amount of tickets a team losses for an apc/tank?
Sorry, I don't like the idea of being free kills for the armor.

Re: Requesting certain kits.
FOB has TOWs..., and you can still request LAT. IF you want AT protection, grab a HAT in the main, head out witgh it and keep it.amazing_retard wrote:Lets say you and your squad spawn on an FB and start defending. Or request an APC to come so you can get it from the APC.
Teamwork & planning, isnt PR about this?
Sorry, but I'd like to be afraid of armour again as now MBT doesnt make any more threat as a normal 50 cal. jeep does. If anything, i can hit him with less effort as its larger and it isnt moving around constantly...

Re: Requesting certain kits.
Implementing this would lead to reckless charges from armored vehicle drivers on known FOB locations in the hopes there's no AT present, because they know they have a fair shot at there not actually being any. Some might see these new "reckless charges" as merely closer APC and IFV support.
So on the one hand, good, on the other hand, very, very bad.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

I've got no problem with that, I just destroy enemy crates cause i know they contain AT gear which can easily knock me down.Dv83r wrote:I'm sure some of you have been in a situation where your in a tank and you attack an enemy FOB. Some guy requests a AT and takes you down.

Re: Requesting certain kits.
The idea behind this is great imo,
Want to protect your FOB? build a TOW/AA/50.cal/razor wire/ foxholes/request your own armour support. Teamwork is a must for PR. Also with everyone saying that armour will rush the FOB's they won't if you built a TOW.

Re: Requesting certain kits.
Ida certainly has cons and pros. Imo restricting it to specialists kits and allowing to be able to request them from APCs would be good. Would also bring new meaning for team to keep their apcs not in the corner of map camping enemy inf.
