[/CENTER]Thats right! The community matches are returning, now hosted by the PRTA!
We know there are still people out there who want planned out battles like in the tournament, but dont necessarily have enough time to participate in the PR Tournament. Thats where the Community Events come in!
There will be few roles available for people to choose. As a CO you will be required to plan the battle and organise the team on one of the team forums. As a SL you are required to work together with the CO on the plan and carry out his orders during the battle. As a SM you are only required to sign-up and show up! And ofcourse listen to your SL.
Signups will be on the PRTA website(PRTA Community Match Sign-up thread - PR Team Work). Players wishing to participate must make an account and post in the thread. The thread will be opened at the time the signups start. The thread will be cleaned after the COs and SLs are selected, so the thread will be empty when it is time for squad members to sign up. Each team will also get their own forum on which they will be able to plan the battle.
So if you only have time for an evening battle sign up as a squad member on the side and in a squad of your chosing (provided there is room)! If you have more time and want to experience making a battleplan and talk about tactics sign up as one of the officers.
The first battle will commence on the 11th of December 19:00 PRT on a beefed up (150 extra tickets) Iron Eagle. In the banner you can see the different sign-up dates. This way we give both teams a chance to organise themselves on there own forums (these will be provided by the PRTA) before they start recruiting grunts.
The event will of course be closely monitored by the admins and we want everyone to play fair and nice. COs will make sure the players have a nice time. The goal is to experience a match that has been (well) planned ahead of the match.
Keep in mind that this is the first time we are hosting this and we welcome criticism or feedback. This is a test to see if the PR community wants events like this.
Regards,
PRTA Event Organizers.
