Re: How the RPG Warhead works?
Im gonna take a guess that English isnt your first language. Are you asking how a LAT (Light anti Tank) weapon works? No, you dont need to know the exact meters to the target, it can help though. The RPG has a drop to it over distance, Id say more so then the Conventional faction LATs. You get a feel for it with practice how high to aim to hit a target at a certain distance. But like I said, it takes practice. Yes, you can shoot in standing and crouching, but If I remember correctly not in prone. If your rocket is flying any direction but straight, then you are not giving it enough time to settle, and I highly doubt you are giving it 5 seconds because that should be enough time.

If you're talking about the tandem warhead RPG(considered a HAT), it's unguided like the LATs, you have to aim and wait for it to settle then fire. You can fire standing and crouching, though I'm not sure how far you can shoot.

Why don't you find out for yourself: Go on a coop server with a russian map on, and get the hat kit, and TADAAA, you can figure out yourself by shooting at stuff over long distance and up close.
Anyways, you are supposed to aim on the plus sign I guess.

R-DEV Chuc posted a picture on how the RPG Scoped HAT works, if I recall correctly.
Personally, I'd use the iron-sight RPG over the scoped RPG any day.

I feel the USMC HAT has ALOT less drop then the Taliban HAT does.. the Taliban HAT is extreamly accruate over long distance if used correctly.Spartan0189 wrote:R-DEV Chuc posted a picture on how the RPG Scoped HAT works, if I recall correctly.

My tip would be to hold it dead still on your target for 10 seconds. I have hit hummers on Kokan @ 600m+ easily on a number of occations.. the trick is to learn how much drop to compensate for.
My second tip would be for moving targets your range accuracy drops a fair bit, aim just like your hit a stationary target... but gently track (left or right) a couple of meter in front of the direction its travelling, perhaps more for faster targets. line your shot up where you think it will arrive but DO NOT track up and down or accuracy goes out the window.
The LAT's or insurgent RPG's are nurfed a bit much for my liking, you can strike a hummer clean and it drives away smoking.. and a windsheild hit will set it on fire, but they do have time to bail. less than 100% health and you can then pop it in one LAT shot.
irl... if you hit one with an RPG it would be an instant coffin.

Scoped rpg is not working(yet) according to devs. Aim at middle which is 500m line.

That's because the SRAW (US/UK HAT) has no drop...Target_Practice_117 wrote:I feel the USMC HAT has ALOT less drop then the Taliban HAT does.. the Taliban HAT is extreamly accruate over long distance if used correctly.

Very impressive. That's actually outside the maximum line of sight , unless you tilt your view to exploit the cone-shaped Line of Sight. Like this!Target_Practice_117 wrote:I feel the USMC HAT has ALOT less drop then the Taliban HAT does.. the Taliban HAT is extreamly accruate over long distance if used correctly.

You already know this because you are able to do these shots. But for the OP; Remember that turning around with the mouse will make you less accurate (I belive so at least. the US hat works like this, of that I'm sure) So when trying these shots, first you need to turn your view to the left or right, look where he is, then drag back to aiming position and THEN hold still for at least 8 seconds. Looking up and down will also increase line of sight. The cone of view is shaped like this:

A tip is to meassure the distance between the target and something else out in the field, like a tree or other landmark. Having something that you can see might help you remember where the target actually is, since you can't see it outside the maximum view distance.
Advanced mechanics + the RPGs crazy randomness makes it very, very hard to do though. Almost mission impossible to hit a humvee at >max distance, especially if it's moving.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
And there was me feeling that I had a graphical 'Problem' that allowed me to see further if I turned my view.
You live and learn.. thanks for clearing that up.

Re: How the RPG Warhead works?
Not really a coffin, because RPGs are not made to explode. There are anti personnel rounds, but the PR one is anti vehicle.Target_Practice_117 wrote:irl... if you hit one with an RPG it would be an instant coffin.
So you would have a nice burned hole in the humvee and it would be on fire because of the fuel, but not a coffin.
Sorry for OT and being so picky, but when the PR RPG got nerfed so you could shoot below your feet and stay pretty much unharmed there were TONS of discussions on this forum on how the RPG works and/or should work IRL/ingame. I read them.
