Was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not this is a good computer. I've always used ATI video cards so I am unsure about the GTX 460 and I have never owned an Intel computer.
Newegg.com - CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme 1076 Intel Core i5 760(2.80GHz) 4GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
If I do purchase this computer I will most likely buy Arma 2 and am curious how it would run on this setup. Appreciate your input.
Thanks!

Re: Buying this computer
I am sure there can be arguements to whether it is worth the price,
but that aside
That is a good computer. Not top of the line, but far from the end.
The GTX460 is a good GPU.
I use a GTX460, but have not tried to load up ARMA. I think it should run it fine though.

Re: Buying this computer
Alright I appreciate the response. It is just time for me to upgrade from my computer while staying on a decent budget. I am not looking for the best I just want a computer that will be able to play most games very well.
Thanks for your response

Re: Buying this computer
Ok, I suggest you shop at Tigerdirect (personal preference)
I find its cheap there.
But anyway
The PC there looks good
Core i5 Quad 2.8Ghz is good, will run latest games
4GB DDR3RAM is good too, maybe upgrade to 6GB, budget depending.
1TBHDD what more to say its 1TB
the 460GTX wil run Arma2 perfectly, as the reccommended card for maxed is iirc the 260GTX or 5770(ATI)
PSU 700W is perfect, good for the newer Nvidia and ATI cards(iirc they require 500-600W)
But back to Tigerdirect.com
I assume your spending limit is between 800-900 dollars?
I found this PC for 750$ without shipping ofc
PC here
It has a little less Processor speed( 2.6) but it does come with AMD's latest socket type(AM3) and has a fan that will work...so you can buy a better AM3 socket type processor(PhenomII, AthlonII etc) without the fan saving a good 50-60 bucks
Still has 4GB DDR3 RAM, but it can be upgraded to 16GB
Lots of room in the case, looks cool, has multiple USB ports(
Radeon HD 5770....can run arma2 maxed, so bonus there
Only 500GB HDD, but hey HDD are cheap nowadays
You have media readers, for cameras and the such,
Overall a cheap PC, for basically the same as the one you wanted from newegg
I'll link you to some others that are good PC's
6Core 2.8Ghz( iBUYPOWER Gamer Extreme 572SLC Gaming PC - AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz, 4GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, DVDRW, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB VRAM, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Blue at TigerDirect.com
AMD quad core (SYX BlackOps PC ? AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.8GHz, Genuine Windows? 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 4GB DDR3 1333MHz, 500GB 7200RPM HDD, DVDRW, 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6850, 500W PSU, FREE COD: Black Ops PC Version at TigerDirect.com
And here is the search page....AMD's are cheaper btw

Re: Buying this computer
See there is a great example of what can be said about your post.... There is always something better, something cheaper, better company... blah blah blah.
But the one you are looking at is a good pc with nice specs.

Re: Buying this computer
The OP just asked if his choice was a good computer.
I replied that there could be arguements as to the price etc.
You replied with a suggestion he should shop somewhere else, buy a different computer.....
Which is exactly what I knew would happen.
