Hey, just be thankful you can even *play& a full round. Some of us have that mysterious freezing problem that seems to have zero solution whatsoever. I can play for a total of 20 minutes to an hour and a half before my brand new computer abruptly freezes. I've tried everything everyone has ever suggested about this problem (including getting a new damn computer) and nothing has worked. I envy your chance to play with those silly PR players.

A bit off topic but if you have a realtek onboard audio chip & windows 7, try disabling it (and/or using a USB based headset) for a while... it seems to cause crashes for quite a few people - something to do with a dodgy win7 driver.

PR has some sort of error I believe it was, with the basic coding or something code wise with the game, which makes it constantly increase the virtual memory usage. Eventually you'll run out of virtual memory which is when the little bubble will pop up saying" Windows is attempting to increase Virtual paging file" Which is when some people will freeze or CTD. (thats my theory)

^ Decrease texture = fix?
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

That sounds probable. I guess certain maps require more virtual memory than others, which is maybe why the time I can actually play varies so much. Is there any way to fix this on my end or do I have to wait for the PR team to fix it on their end?

That doesn't seem to have any effect. I went from all high settings to all medium settings and it froze even quicker.

I know exactly where ChizNizzle is coming from. It has little to do with flag layout or another team being overpowered in some way.

When you've been around long enough that you develop a good understanding on what people should and shouldn't be doing in order to play a good match -e.g. going for flags or defending them instead of wandering around the map wasting manpower on doing nothing, the most obvious no-brainer- you get easily frustrated when you see that kind of action and think "what the **** is squad 3, 5 and 6 doing". Even if a couple squads were doing a good job it's not enough if the rest of the team is worthless.

The other thing is communication. When people aren't on Mumble and don't even bother to read the team chat or say air trans squad doesn't respond to any transportation or supply requests -the most basic means of communication in PR- you know the game is probably going to suck.

This is not only a problem on the 'lesser' servers, it happens a lot on the more respected servers too, maybe a tad less frequently though.

For example:
I was on the Hardcore server stuck in the neverending canyon of Iron Eagle near IDF artillery emplacementwith my squad, no transportation. The current objective Bijar was about 3 km away, not as the bird flies, but as then infantryman walks.
A guy wearing the =]H[= tags was flying trans and of course I requested for a helicopter. After he had flown over me and my squad a couple of times without responding I requested again and he stated the LZ was too hot (LZ had moved with my squad about 1,5 km during that time). It didn't make sense to me since we were in the canyon, no enemy vehicles or infantry in sight, no engine sounds either and the blackhawk wasn't popping flares or taking fire when it flew above us.

Well, of course we kept on walking towards Bijar. At this point I was getting frustrated and feeling very useless for the team but hadn't lost hope yet. We were just about to reach the objective, when our team lost the previous flag Alkomin and we started walking back. Of course we couldn't get to Alkomin either in time and kept on walking back to IDF Artillery Emplacement, since team was reporting we were losing it too. During our treck I frequently requested for transport, no luck. As we were about to reach 'arty' our team was already capping Alkomin, again. By this time the Blackhawk had flown over us several times with no problem. Eventually the BH pilot decided to come pick us up 'after this drop'. BH disappeared from the map at the LZ, judging by the LOLs, OMGs and FFFUUUs it was crashed.

Those things are what make the older players rage quit and put off new players. It wasn't the walking that sucked -even though spending the majority of a round walking without any enemy contact is quite lame- it was the inability of the pilot to work for the better of my insignificant squad that made me RQ. I'm lucky to say that this doesn't happen to me too often and that I've had a lot of good rounds too lately. If that wasn't the case I wouldn't be playing PR anymore.

Are you describing normal evening at the Pelitutka's server? Okey, it have to be better when I'm not playing there (Maybe I'm the problem at the server. :shock :) .

Just kidding... or you know.

I have seen to much good in those years of PR.

You understand me spot on.

Its like finishing college, then going to the kindergarten and get frustrated when they cannot calculate 5+5.
