Re: PC Freeze while playing PR
Where does it originate from? The speakers or the PC?
If its the speakers its just a looping sound artifact from the frozen game.
If it is from within the PC case you are probably having serious (mechanical) hardware problems.
PC freezes usually are
- overheating issue (check temps, dedust the pc)
- driver incompatiblity/corruption (reinstall driver, get different versions)
- system file corruption (run "chkdsk c: /r")
- any hardware fault (listen and look for anything suspicious inside the pc [fans not working, capacitors bloated/leaking/rusting])

And the sounds comes from my headset/speakers.

Each game stresses resources differently. You cannot really compare those games with an aged game like bf2 in this regard, imo.sethcb wrote:Doubt that any of that things are it since i ONLY got it with pr, i can play BF:BC GTA COH any ohter game with the highest settings no problem, and it wont crash.
But if you insist that it is PR then try reinstalling BF2 and PR, make sure to wipe the "My Documents\Battlefield 2" folder as well. And check your installers for integrity (e.g. MD5-sum).

Tried that, worked for the first game but after that crash again. It does take longer now to crash, but it still happends.[R-COM]SnipingCoward wrote:Each game stresses resources differently. You cannot really compare those games with an aged game like bf2 in this regard, imo.

It cannot be my computer, i tested ALL my hardware stress tested everything to the point they will explode, and nothing. Tested with some heavyer games, nothing happend.
This is and must be a PR issue.

Re: PC Freeze while playing PR
Hmm, I know this sounds troublesome but for testing purposes clear the shader cache every time you start a game. There has been someone saying this is a work around to prevent crashes maybe it applies to your freezes too. I am not exactly sure what causes it though.
