More points to medic.
Being a medic means you're not something particularly combat effective, no grenades, giant *** machine gun, whatever.
Give em some more points.
Give em some more points.

I go medic all the time, and am typically the top scorer in my squad. You've got a gun to kill people, and when your squad is dead you get a buttload of points for reviving them - what's not to like again?

No. I often play medic and, as said, am often the top scorer in my squad - by making the medic more offensively powerful, it changes a player's priorities, which isn't good.

A medic's offensive capabilities are fine as is, and as others have said, the surefire kit to top points already when used effectively.

He isn't asking for medics to get more offensive power, just more points for the things they do. >.>

Re: More points to medic.
A good medic always end up top scorer of the squad, they have already more points, plus most player don't play for points... (If you want points, build FOBs...)
I enjoy playing medic a lot, you're like the life keeper of the squad, the last chance, and the combat effectiveness is pretty good in CQB.
And I agree on the disabling points fact.

He lists it as the primary reason why they should get more points "they aren't combat effective" which I mostly disagree withwhatshisname55 wrote:He isn't asking for medics to get more offensive power, just more points for the things they do. >.>
And this ^^^^
The points system really doesn't matter as is. My worst round of the week was 1000+ points, 0 kills, and 10 deaths. Stuck with my squad (who was having a rough day all around) built some assets, revived and healed people. Third on the 'standings'.
I do agree the points shouldn't matter, and it's also something I don't think the devs need to spend their time on. Which is also why points don't need to be increased.

Re: More points to medic.
agree.
give more points to the medics and also give more points to those who stay on defending on friendlyflags.
there is two kind of players in PR.
others dont give shit to the points so this change would change nothing to them.
but then there is players who likes that theres points.
maybe someone would stay on purple flag to defend.

yeah medic is more of a defensive kit helping patching and reviving fallen players they shouldnt go Gunghoe and jump into a situation where they them selves cant be revived . .

Absolutely not.give more points to the medics and also give more points to those who stay on defending on friendlyflags.
Attackers should always be rewarded for even making an attack, it takes skill, courage and planning while defending is piss easy and takes no skill or planning whatsoever.
PR should always reward the attacker, and thats why the 30 ticket loss on flag cap was a good idea, because it made the game about objective based gameplay instead of waiting for enemies to come to you.

Maybe they added because people usually don't defend, to award the defender not the attacker?dtacs wrote:Absolutely not.

Lack of defenders has always been a problem in the past, now people are more willing to defend, not to attack.
Defenders afaik get allot more points than attacker allready nowadays, so much that they can sometimes beat the fob builders if the just stay on the flagzone.
Medics are fine as they are atm, as already stated they can be on top of their squad if people die allot, if not, they should be using their weapon.
Medics already has a huge bonus in a good squad, he don't have a shovel

Re: More points to medic.
I'll be honest, guys.
It is damn awesome to have your name on the top of the score list.
Even more awesome to be in the "best" (highest scoring) squad, and specially more if you are the SL.
But come on... lets face it. The only reason I build FOBs is because I know they can be built in what, 2 or 3 minutes? And the entire team will use it. It will also prevent me having to walk all the way from main to the objective.
You see, a selfish reason that has nothing to do with points, TBH.
Now, I don't mind playing as medic when I found out I could use a red dot (request with right click), I just hatted the iron sights. Never minded about being a MEC, IDF, Russian medic. I play as medic if I must, because I kinda trust me, you know? I prefer to play as grenadier, specialist, rifleman because I get more action. I'm not that big AR gunner because I hate staying behind.
And I have a +200 ping on every server (except the brazilian one).
Anyways, I don't think we should remove points. They are a form of indication of how useful you were to the team.
Yeah, you can come with the guys that put a FOB just to get it destroyed and stuff. But let's be honest, what is the problem with having points? I've never seen anyone playing for points. It IS awesome to have a lot of scores, but I would never let the scores get in the way for me having fun.
Points are fun. But nobody plays for points. You don't even get a cookie for that.

Re: More points to medic.
I disagree. It is sometimes important to highlight how much a player contributes to the team so that when it comes time to use an important asset like an attack chopper, the player who had -500 pts, 0 kills, and 10 deaths is not first in line. If you play just for fun, then just don't pay any attention to the score; simple as that. Don't force other people to be blind to scores as well because not everyone has the same concept of what is and is not fun.Doc.Pock wrote:i think point should be disabled. i play it for fun and relax not to be the best.![]()

Re: More points to medic.
Once when playing as a medic there was a PKM insurgent hiding in a building who killed loads of guys, what I did was picked up an enemy RPG kit and shot the wall so he died.
What I mean with this is that medics always run with other people in a squad as a backup, or "investment". If a squad never plans to die then a medic is not needed, it is when things go bad that medics are needed. And that is when they get allot of score.
If a enemy is mowing your guys down and your weapon sucks, just pickup an other one until you are needed again.
