[Solved] Heartbeat of punkbuster

1.I just recently installed fresh 0.957 version with punkbuster being updated and so on. After a day or so of playing I stopped being able to enter any online server. The reason says something like "punkbuster.exe hertbeats stopped". What's that? Is that my fault? What can be done ?
2.Another question just came to my mind, which has been bothering me for months. Why can't I enter the "Guide" section of this site? It askes me for my username and password, but nevertheless denies access when my nick and password are given.

it has something to do with punkbuster stop working that is all i can say...

..you have 2 punkbuster programs..PnkbstrA.exe and PnkbstrB.exe. Sometimes when you get error these two programs aren't communicating properly. Make sure both programs are in your firewall's list of allowed programs.

otherwise you can google around a bit and i'm sure you'll find a solution. updating punkbuster etc..

I did google it - and make sure both are running and not firewall blocked, etc. Mentions it sometimes happens between maps in vanilla BF2, and rebooting often corrects it.

(resists urge to make a medic/epipen comment...)

If they are allowed by your firewall and it still happens then just try re-installing punkbuster.

I just reinstalled the 3rd part of PR0.95 over again. Seems to have helped.
