i must say, even though im only ranked as a private on the forums, i've been playing PR since at least 2007 and im on here daily just to see whats new with other threads. i've been playing mods since the old Day of Defeat days and project reality is, by far, the best mod out today. i even went and bought ArmA2 just for the pr mod that will be out for that.
cheers to all the people who put project reality together, and always know that it is a mod that truly doesnt go unappreciated by me

if something's gone wrong and you have 3 files on your desktop with the map names then yes you should be able to just drop them in the ...\mods\pr\levels folder

this is what i have a blank white icon titled "pr_0957_christmas_map_pack_setup" i dbl click and it asks me for a program to open it with and i choose 7-zip file manager. different folders show up, color maps, common, Detail maps, Envmaps, HUD, overgrowth, etc. but nothing to start an install wizard or anything like that

i've downloaded it several times and its the same each time. is there a default destination to send this download that would make it open properly? everytime i download it it saves to my desktop

Try renaming it to pr_0957...bla..._setup.exe perhaps?

I think probably you can just drag the levels to your PR levels folder

The thing is: It's odd that an .exe file (it is supposed to be one) would ask you what program to open it with.
So I thought that maybe, somehow, your computer removed the "exe" part. I guess it might be a possible solution to just make it an .exe file again (when you "save as", you should be able to define the file type somewhere, depending on your version of windows etc.)

That's just a blind guess though.

Enable extensions and rename it to .exe or unzip and manually "install" if that's your case?

Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\levels

Thats where you should put the folders with all those files in it, the installer should do this automatically though, change the end of the file to .exe (remove any other .insert file type here first) now you should get a little white blank window like this Image. double click this icon and keep pressing next (unless for some reason your file directory is different from mine which it shouldn't be). The maps will now install themselves in the correct place.

I think you have downloaded an "unrecognised file type" from ModDB, go back and try to get it to start downloading from pressing download and using LMB instead of middle-mousing it all the way to Filefront, which doesnt work.

If you do not get a PR Dogtags icon for your installer, or it does not open to an install wizard, your download is corrupt. Download it again. The installer will tell you exactly where you should be installing it to, and it will sort everything out for you.
