Is this hardcoded afterall? Sounds like a good idea - if you are hit, you are forced to zoom out of your gun.

i like the idea, it might be possible with the vBf2 bolt action snipers, where it zoomed out after a shot and you had to manually zoom back in (at least i remember it that way)

If its a workable idea i think we should beable to test it see if its feasable to be ingame . . . or would it just cause a hopless Hit hit hit dead situation where the player cant zoom in to take a shot back . . but again if i got hit by a bullet i would RUN ahah i dont think id stand there and take more shots . . so maby it is a logical idea.

Though I believe this idea is to simulate the fact that if someone shoots you. You won't be able to shoot back very well.
So if the unscope thing can't be done.
And alternative would be to have the suppressed effect as well as the blood effect when shot. Because some people can work they way around the blood effect.
And if you ask me I think getting shot is as suppressed as it gets.

cant the same effect be done by putting on the suppression overlay and sound effect for like 15 seconds?
Edit: i mean what the OP was suggesting, would make some things a lot more glitchy. pr allready has enough problems getting rid of the allready existant glitches, do you really want moar? just stick in an overlay if anything, and be happy with it

One of them gets hit, he must run for cover - he can zoom back, wasting precious seconds, if he wants, but the other guy will already have more time to aim and stuff. So, if you are shooting at each other, while one can give you accurate hits, you can try to suppress him while you run for cover.
I think this would reward body shots (ATM I try to take my time aiming for the head, because whoever hits the head once first or the body twice/thrice, is the winner.)

Should be trigered (zooming out) in the same time with the surpression effect. Maybe only then we will have a fully effective surpression effect in BF2

. Tho, I belive that could be a little exagerated and will start to annoy people ( but it is realistic, I don't know of any person that has the balls to stand sighted in when bullets hit inches to his body )

If this is hardcoded then it would probably be a good solution to add a big recoil when hit, just like in CS when you get a headshot. even more realistic imo.
