Project Reality 0.957 - Wont Install

Hell there,
I recently went to update my game by downloading all three parts, but when I open the files I receive from the download, nothing happens, it only opens as a process, but nothing comes up, this then proceeded to make my PC run slowly and forces me to restart,
I have tried this a good six or seven times now, and Iv'e only seen something pop-up once, which then crashed,
Please help, I have spent my entire weekend trying to get the game, but iv'e hit a dead end now.

Verify that you are having the correct files and that they are not corrupted:

After that turn off anti-vir software during installation as it can block the process.

Hello, I had a bit of an odd situation, tried again and it worked, only 20 minutes later, very odd if you ask me, however now when I start the game all I get it a black screen for a while, then it closes.
Any tips?

Sorry, you'll have to forgive me, I was in a rush when I viewed this post last, basically I have done all that is recommended, and the results are the same each time, when I load PR I get the small box in the middle of the screen that come's up whilst its loading, then after a short while the screen goes black for a few seconds, and when the program closes I see at the bottom, the BF2 in the task-bar, but then it vanishes.

Set your screen resolution identical to display resolution in nvidia I had to fine adjust mine so resolution is something odd like 1024X812 in mydox/profiles.

Put all graphics to low in the profiles it's 1 i think.

Hey was having a little look of the files, think I found the problem,I have a .txt document called PR Error (content shown below) any idea's on an easy fix?

Also, my PC fails to launch BF2, nothing visible even happens only my physical memory halves itself, and my computer runs very slowly.

Delete "My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/Default" since it might be corrupted and will be replaced once BF2 starts.

Deleting the "My Documents/Battlefield 2" is actually possible too, but your custom settings will be lost. However it is a more thorough approach.

You need to launch Battlefield 2, and create or retrieve a profile at least once before you can open Project Reality. Project Reality needs a profile in order to do some stuff and open properly.

So basically, open Battlefield 2, create or retrieve a profile, quit, then launch PR from the desktop shortcut .

But... if you can't launch BF2, well, you kinda need to get that fixed first, since PR runs off BF2, so if the original doesn't work, PR definitely won't work. What are your system specs? You could have a virus or something, some other program interfering, system software/drivers not up to date. You could try the above with deleting My Docs/Battlefield 2, but judged on what you're saying, I don't think that's going to help much, there's something else seriously wrong with your computer. Do other games/programs do similar things?

If all else fails, completely remove BF2 and PR, then install from scratch in exactly the following order:
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2 1.41
Battlefield 2 1.5
Project Reality 0.957 Part 1 of 3
Project Reality 0.957 Part 2 of 3
Project Reality 0.957 Part 3 of 3
Project Reality 0.957 Christmas Map Pack (optional, if you want 3 more snow themed maps)
