Stronger Bullet Damage For BlackHawk Door Guns

The title says it all. I love door gunning in the Black Hawk but the mini gun just seems weak to me. Anyone else agree?

The other day on Kokan IDK who I was gunning with a H guy possibly paracowboy?

Anyway there was a techi that came into our base... The drivers were killed and I decided to unload on it while in the BH gun... Stationary all the shots hit and it took a good 5-6 seconds to make it go boom... Now according to wiki the minigun can shoot anywhere from 2000-6000 rounds a minute... Lets say that after shooting 6 seconds of the miini gun at the techi (which is unarmored) 400 7.62X51 rounds hit it... Why is it not dead? ? ?

Similar stories can be told while shooting at a moving techi same story (I know not all the bullets could of hit shooting at a moving techi but still). Unarmored vehicles have way to much armor... I mean I understand for balancing purposes but...

Same thing with the .50. IRL it would destroy a techi in like 3 hits so its not drive able if shot from front)

I have been door gunning since 0.5. I know what I am doing. It does kill, on a rare occasion. But when I rain it down on a single inf for a good 3 seconds and he walks away it becomes evident that something needs to be done. I can hit on target, consistently. Look at the RL youtube videos and you will see what that gun is supposed to do.

I think it's fine as it is, the door gun is for self defence and should not be made too powerful.

I think that removing the guns on the transport choppers has an even better effect than turning them into deadly weapons. The only result of making it more deadly would be that pilots start using it as CAS and stop transporting which isn't what we want I hope

Its not supossed to be used in that way but its not supossed to be weak neither........ if someone uses the asset in a bad way it's not assets fault.

Anyhow, I still get the sound bug where you can't hear anything when the gun is too close to you (100m?) and firing.



Anyways, I've always thought the BH minigun was very very strong. When I survive as infantry, it's because they miss. It's not like they are powerful, but they are just more effective against bigger targets.

Sure using it as a CAS chopper is dumb. But having the power when it's needed is crucial. It drives me nuts to see enemies as I'm flying through and not actually effectively and consistently be able to kill them. When the dude with the shoulder fired AA is locking you as you're flying by and you see him, he should die when you burst him.
Why in the world would you want to under power such a vehicle? I pretty much agree that not only the Black Hawk but also the MI-8 and the boat need to have the guns made more powerful. Not change the guns themselves (already done for the boat! THX!), but just the damage done to the target.

XD What I mean is, you know, from the chopper POV, you actually see like the bullets were bursting when they hit the ground, right?

In fact they are just normal bullets hitting the ground in high amounts. I've lost the count of times when the bullets just missed me by like an inch or so.

Techie is armored vehicle. Its sides are Higly bullet resistant to small arms, only weak points are windows.
If techie would be unarmed, couple burst from M16 and everyone would be down.

A techie is a simple pickup truck. It's just a Toyota. It has metal if that's armor. But the BH has a friggin chain gun.

I have played both sides of that mingun. It just seems that it is very hard to hit targets.
I've stood there shooting at the gunner while he just sprayed bullets wound me. both of us got away without a scratch. I've shot at a few infnatry for a few seconds and saw none of them fall.

making it more powerful would just promote people flying around in it shooting everyone, its a transport helicopter remember that, it isnt supposed to be used for CAS

How wrong you are, they are normal pickups with a .50 mounted on the back. The only thing considered 'bullet proof' would be the engine block being thats the most dense part of the truck.
