Major FPS drop on Barentz

Just as the title says it is unplayable...even a picture gets more PFS than what i do on that map and yet every other map is fine even on the highest settings. Heres my basic specs anyway...

AMD64 3200+
nvidia 7900 GTX
2GB RAM

Yes i know its old but it runs the game like a charm and yet this map is unplayable so its not the machine. Just thought id let ya know

i tested some stuff and when i turn terrain on medium, i get +20fps. but i notice that i get totally dfferent textures, pe on the iceberg in the loading screen.
everything else didnt help (dynamic lighting + shadow , textures etc).

however on muttrah i still get 30-40 fps. ... and on northern lights the terrain looks very bugged, the detail and/or color textures change color from white-bue to white-grey when fading out.

Yeah its the machine.
2GB RAM and your VC is the issue, add in 2GB of RAM and purcahse a new VC.

If thats the case then why can i play every other map with everything on full and get no FPS drop? Plus theres alot of people out there with very high Spec machines and they are getting low FPS on that map. So im sticking with my first opinion...its not my machine, its the map.

There is snow falling, ofc your gonna lag.
I lag on it, its 3 things in your case

1) Your machine
2) The snow
3) The falling snow.

I only noticed lag near the Village flag the first time I played it. The second time I didn't notice very much. So it could be server related. Have to play it more and compare.

Hearding about lag/fps lamerate, I started playing with texts on low quality. I know it looks quite lame, but atleast u will have a decent gameplay rather than 24/7 freezes. Even though the snow effects are cool, if u play on low you have them too, minus the lag and plus the fun

PR hasn't finished Snow effects, so its most likely you don't have a great experience running, but it's okay for x-mas, atleast it keeps us warm and sober

Btw, afaik, the map is still WIP, atleast it appears to be.

I get 15fps on that map on TG's server with a 47 ping but on Skytgravve , with a 100+ ping I was getting 30+, good enough to fly low and fast.
