What happened to the other maps?

Hey guys,
I took a break from PR when 0.9 was released but I have been back for about 2 weeks now, I have been playing on a daily basis and all the maps that I encountered were:
Kashan
Muttrah
Kokan
Al Basrah
Fallujah
Karbala
Jabal al Burj
and 1 or 2 more...
I have been wondering what happened to the other maps like Qwai river, Assault on Mestia, 7 Gates, Battle for Qinling and some other great maps!... I am sure that they probably were removed but why and are they going to come back??

7 gates was removed in 0.8 i think. The rest you referred to are still in the game.

You can see which maps are still in pr if you start a local server.

Operation Ghost Train

I wouldn't think so, the general consensus among the DEV team seems to be that PR's focus has outgrown those particular maps and that they are no longer up to scratch.
We'll see of course, but I doubt you could get any confirmation.

I miss Assult On Mestia One of my favorite maps.
Tad Sae didn't last that long
Operation Ghost Train was awesome also
Sunset City is a great inf map also, too damn small though lol

You need to search before creating this type of thread, as this has been discussed many times before.

The following maps were removed with 0.9:

Assault on Mestia
Sunset City
7 Gates
Bi Ming
Tad Sae
Ejod Desert
Operation Ghost Train

All of these maps were removed for various reasons; low quality, size of combat area, game mechanics not fitting to new features in v0.9 etc etc. They may return in some form of additional map pack, but that is in no way guaranteed.
