Finished basic training

Post by destiny »

Just finished some basic training with the help of Wicca, thanks mate.

The game is much more realistic than I expected it to be, I was surprised by the people playing it, they were all following orders and were acting like a real squad and not just going rambo and haunting for the highest score on the server.
Wicca made an awesome squad that I got to be a part of it and I felt like I'm with my friends from the IDF, just walking for hours, passing the time untill we see some enemies and then engaging :)

I am now ready to fight, see you guys in the battlefield!

Lol thought you meant actual Basic >_>

This is probably the closest you'll ever get to anything realistic. As a Marine myself, and 1 deployment to Afghanistan (missed the last Iraq one by so close, it only lasted 3 months for the lucky ******** too), I can say some of the battles and even just the little convoys I've been on have been amazingly similar. I'm not talking about having flashbacks here, but just the way certain missions went down with a good commander we're almost textbook. Mumble is a definite for this game. That's pretty much what makes it even better.

I remember on Al Basrah last time I played, we had an armored column moving around, as well as 3 squads of infantry. Pretty much the entire UK team was working together on this one. We stopped in a clearing because our SLs wanted to talk in private, so we set up our 360, got into positions, and did some good ol hurry up and wait while the SLs talked it out.

Also on Karbala I was driving the tank, and our Commander for this (god I wish I remember his name, he was actually motivating as hell for a civilian) had everything so perfect. Probably the best coordinated attacks I've ever seen in a video game before. Nothing feels better than seeing a squad pinned down, and then blasting away the enemy position with our Abrams, and rolling up to them hearing them all cheering at us and what not.

I could go on and on but I've already typed WAY more than I wanted too lol.

First, unless you have actually witnessed Wicca teach you have no ground to stand on to criticize him.

Second, Destiny, very glad you like the mod and are finding it a enjoyable experience. However, this thread does border on spam and is in the wrong section. I really don't see this thread going anywhere else, unless Wicca wants to start advertising private lessons, so I'm going to lock it.

Welcome to the community, hope to see you in game.
