PR Will not open

Hi all. Been playing PR since the summer but for the first time tonight the game just won't open. I double click it as usual, the PR banner comes up and my screen goes black but I return to my desktop. I've tried restarting already.. anyone know what's up?

update: i went into the settings and changed my graphics from 1680x1050 to 1280x1024 since I moved home with my old monitor. It let me into the game where I have to choose my profile.. but when I click connect it shows "Establishing Connection" but then quits to desktop without warning =\.

Also tell me if youve installed BF2 with 1.4 and 1.5 and if you installed all three parts of PR.


Also you can try starting the game in windowed mode, then when it gives you the error report screenshot it and post it up here.

6gb ram, i7 920, 1gb 5870

the game has worked fine since the summer, I play on a regular basis. It's just now that I've moved home for the holidays it's being strange. A popup window opened and asked for permission to allow access to PR with the net work?? It only showed up once and I allowed it but for some reason it won't open =\ I think it may be related to the resolution.

FIXED: Incase anyone gets this in the future. You have to go into My documents -> BF2 -> profiles, and go to the profile number your name is under and find "Video". Double click it and open the document, edit your video settings to your desktop resolution and you should be good. I think what happened was the game tried to run itself at 1680x1050 but my home monitor only allows 1280x1024.
