Invalid CD Key, Nothing is working!

Ok, before you all start flaming about not reading the stickied post.
It isn't working for me! I've done the regedit guide with no success several times. I've also tried using the keygen changing app with no success. I've tried reinstalling the game, also with no success.
The key is legit, I bought bf2 complete collection via digital download off games planet. I received the key in an e-mail from them. I've heard that having the expansion can mess this up, but I can't for the life of me work out how to uninstall only SF. And when I install I don't get any option of whether I want the expansion or not, it just installs it automatically.
I'm able to play on a few servers, (Unranked ones I suppose?) but the lack of choice is really bugging me. If anyone has any suggestions on what else I could try that would be greatly appreciated.
