I'd like to ask if there are any plans to add a fuller list of vehicles to the UK forces, and if not why they have been omitted
1) Harrier Jet, it is originally a British plane not US so I don't see why they should get it and not the Brits
2) Jackal armoured vehicle, probably the most key bit of Brit kit in the Middle East right now
3) Mastiff armoured vehicles and variants -as above-
4) The BvS or Viking tracked vehicle, whilst only used by the Royal Marines it gives the player an amphibious APC that is clearly missing from the armoury

as for 2 and 3, someone has to model/UV/skin/export it, so it's a case of you want to see it ingame, you make it happen.
i don't think anything has been left out on purpose, it simply hasn't been made yet

Retired from active service to be replaced in 2013 with F-35 JSF IIRC.

Re: British vehicles

Although this Mastiff has been created for Arma2, it still shows that the PR team have a very high quality model that could be optimized for BF2.

Re: British vehicles
Obviously a suggestion. As such, take a look at the stickies in the Suggestions forum. We have British MAs, who know plenty about the vehicles that are used.

Re: British vehicles
The Harrier we made is the Harrier GR9, which was used by the brits, as well as the USMC Harrier AV-8B which we made after, based on the Harrier GR9.Bunnyman wrote:1) Harrier Jet, it is originally a British plane not US so I don't see why they should get it and not the Brits

The problem as mentioned in this topic and I mentioned in the other topic is since the SDSR the harrier has been retired from the British arsenal since that and as a result, it will only be seen in PR in maps based on real events that are now slightly in the past, ie, ~ 2007 Sangin.
Again, can find this info out pretty easily on the forums, we showed the Mastiff in a recent news post, although it has the PR:ARMA2 logo on it, it will be used in PR:BF2 as well.Bunnyman wrote:2) Jackal armoured vehicle, probably the most key bit of Brit kit in the Middle East right now

For starters the Viking is being phased out of service, being replaced by the Warthog: [ARCHIVED CONTENT] Ministry of Defence | Defence News | Equipment and Logistics | The Warthog is on its wayBunnyman wrote:4) The BvS or Viking tracked vehicle, whilst only used by the Royal Marines it gives the player an amphibious APC that is clearly missing from the armoury
But as mentioned by Animal, the Viking/Warthog isn't possible to make on the BF2 engine since BF2 can not handle trailers...
