cd key is not valid

Everytime I try to join a server it says "cd key is not valid" i've used this cd key before. I reinstalled twice installed patches and still got cd key is not valid. I tried tthe x9392 thing not im lost. Anyone ever have this problem or know's what to do?

Are you using a genuine key you got from purchasing the game? If so, there's an application hidden somewhere in the BF2 folder you can use to reset the key and enter it again.
