PR - night maps?

PR - night maps?

I was wondering about that, why aren't there any maps on PR where you play during night-time? I think that would be a lot of fun tbh, and since thermal is already implemented it shouldn't be that hard to see to it so that it becomes available for soldiers as well - specialists, for example, and pilots. I don't know for sure but isn't there maps on vBF2 where you play during night-time that could be implemented to PR or something?

I remember there used to be night maps. I cant remember why they were taken out but It was something to do with the way night vision worked I think.

Issues with Nvidia cards not working correctly with night vision.

Though they work with thermal, so perhaps there'll be a work-around some day.

IIRC dynamic lights are an issue too.
Anyway I think this is a ressugestion in the wrong section.

i hate night missions, in all games, ever.
reason is that no game, no graphic will ever (well maybe sometimes in the future) display "night", as we know it from real-life, correct and realistic. in games it?s always just like day, only a bit darker, but you can see everything like before, only with more dark-blue in the colors. it sucks in my opinion!

This wasn't meant to be a suggestion thread though, it was meant to be more in a sense of a "why-not-thread, kinda.

They used to have them but the lights had issues and so did the nightvision goggles. Bi ming used to be super very dark, but some people were annoyed and others crashed or lagged. Once the pr standalone game comes out, thats where they can do things like live time of day/night maps better and more realistic.

maybe using thermal code we could do the same but green? and not highlight everytihng hot but everything that has dynamic light on it?

i believe rhino explained that the night vision in BF2:SF was not actual "night vision", but just a green filter over everything.

thats what i was hoping. someone said that we've(they) have only scratched the surface of what can be done with shaders(the way thermal works engine wise)

i was playing Midnight Sun last night(yeah, vBF2, shoot me for treason), and the way they did night was rather good. it was very bright, but it still felt like nighttime.
