Hey guys,
I've been browsing the Internet to look for parts for my new PC which I'm building to play ArmA II and ArmA II OA. I am now in the process of picking a CPU and stumbled across the i7 950 which my friend said should be in any gaming PC and the i5 which is considerably cheaper.
Now I was wondering is it really worth buying the i7 over the i5. I wont be making use of multithreading so i figured i didn't need the extraz virtual cores?
What are your thoughts on this?
,Thanks.
EDIT: I have not OC'd yet but will try this with my old rig and perhaps OC my new rig
Worth getting an i7 950?

I personally don't see the point of putting an i7 into a build when you can buy a higher speed i5 quad and get the same or better actual performance for a much lower price, since ArmA II can't use more than 4 cores anyhow. However, some people feel the need to buy cutting edge stuff.
From a pragmatists point of view, I'd go with the i5.
