Singleplayer mappack?

Post by 3===SPECTER===3 »

Hey guys, I was just thinking back to awhile ago, where there was a highlight, or dev blog where we saw that there was a singleplayer mappack in the making? Does anybody recall this? I think it was supposed to have some old maps like Hills of Hamyong and others. I could be completely wrong. Anyway, it was just a quick question, any answers would be nicve, thank you.

Seriously though, what the hell?

Sure would be nice to see some more sp maps though, can we get a list of whats being converted or is it a patient bear issue?

well there is some time between the two statements... maybe H.M.S. R-Dev. read this thread, thought "oh sh!t" while remembering his project and made some progress in double time?

we'll probably never know... ;)

I'm might be wrong, but I interpreted Hans response as "the unofficial SP mappack is in testing". Hopefully his response was to OP, but clarification would obviously be appreciated.

No, I just prefer knowing that there is actually something stable enough to be released soon before talking about it instead of giving hints on WIP stuff that is hanging in air.

Just an idea, but how about making a second Muttah city etc. for german, and canadian troops?
There would very less work ( just changing US against the german or canadian vehicle and the teams)
best regards

Well you could try asking at the community modding section here or I could teach you myself, but this thread is not on that subject so PM me if you want me to teach you.

Back on topic, will there be any buildup to this release? Like a small trailer or list of maps? And will it be hosted on torrent?

I'm afraid I can't really place your comment in context to my comment, but know that I am with you.

Great to hear there's a SP mappack in the works. I'm downloading .95 now after being away for a while. Does .95 contain the latest SP fixes ?

There's actually a lot that's not completely messed up, but that has to be fixed. For instance, on Karbala you see 2 Kiowas and 2 LBs sitting in the main, but you can't fly either on. The latest incorporation to SP is humans can't fly bot helos because so many people were complaining about the flight physics. There's a large thread about it in the feedback section.

is it that mean in the future there will be more maps support for Co-op SP!?

Co-op suffers from being unable to update at it's own pace. If it could you would see a number of updates and maps between each normal PR patch (e.g. 0.91 needed a number of small fixes that had to wait for 0.95).
