Status on 1st Person weapon low stance.

Post by Hotrod525 »

Hello R-Dev team, is it possible to have a status on the progress over the low stance ? Since i find it kinda annoying to have a low stance on 3rd person and not on 1st, also a low stance would give the "delayed scoping" a reason to be there...

Since this is not a suggestion but more a request for information :P well i post it here.

pretty sure they said when they implemented the 3rd person one, it was not possible, hence why it wasn't included?

Not being worked on. I'm retired
Maybe others have different plans

It's possible, but with everything in life it's a lot of work.

Would it not just 'snap' up every-time you shot? unless you forced scoping to shoot...

I'd like the snap better than always having it up, though. It's just not that much time I spend shooting without aiming, compared to walking around not shooting at all or shooting with the sights up.

But ya, probably not going to happen due to it being a lot of work and Chuc being retired :(

@ Tim, like Spec said, it would be better to "snap up" rather than be "high ready" all the time. I dont know if you ever carry an assault rifle, but beleive, having it in high ready stance for a while is exhausting for you're arm... No an C7A2 is not the heaviest weapon, but after 20 min in high stance you will feel it. Then start thinking about a C9A2 ( M249 ) being always in high ready... It is feasable, but does it worth all the pain in the harm ? Or you need to be shaped like Stalone / Shwartzy :P

Anyway thank you for answering, i hope it will be done. Since i'm like the poorest guy on the earth when it comes to moding ( barely know how to start up the editor lol' ), i wont put any pressure xD

When the current version was released, he was listed as retired Dev in the credits, so must've been around then.

Btw Chuc, you promised us a final Dev blog :p

making 3p low stance required editing ~2000 animations iirc, so i wouldn't get your hopes high, especially with our main animator being retired now :tired:
