And I KNOW people do it because I try to play Ins and eventually i'm always able to click to that side, even if denied at first.. (I don't spawn in, just give it 30 secs).

yes, ghosting is bad

but i guess your right, i squad lead all the time, and i guess i just get sick of having to keep 5 other people in line. so i say 'f*** this, im leaving' and go off on my own.

although, we got down to our last cache on Gaza and i didnt feel like defending it, so i went hunting. i dont remember if i was leading the squad.

Lonewolfing works sometimes in PR, but you get pretty owned hard if you meet up with a good enemy squad.

I like to make a BRDM squad in those Russian maps and sneak around in the forest to do some hit and run/sniping tactics. The BRDM's amphibious capabilities and the zoom on it make it a perfect vehicle for the job.

It depends on what server you are on. If the team is not that great, going ninja does not work, victories will be temporary and destroyed fobs rebuilt my a squad in the area to defend a flag. If you are on a server with a low level of teamwork, then I guess you can slip through the net and count on people too worried about kills not returning to shovel the fob back up.

I like being in a squad, but on INS sometimes its better to lonewolf because to me insurgents seem like a freelance faction.

Only once I can remeber my squad beeing killed by one insurgent. But how many times my squad has killed the lonewolf insurgent? Thousands maybe?
As people noted earlier in this topic - you can do some seroius damage while lonewolfing. But not in general.

As an insurgent, sometimes you can take a fair few Blufor with you if you lonewolf. Take into account that one 'Wound' is worth a ticket.

That said though, I don't believe that insurgents are supposed to be played as self-sufficient squads like conventional factions. More like a U-Boat Wolf-Pack.

Not unless I'm an insurgent. Mainly because I'm usually the medic.

Yeah, its kinda inpossible to stay together as insurgent withouth a good squad. I personaly wander off if my SL left the squad, and screws up. I also find myself wandering as an pilot if I crashed my helicopter, looking for someone to ninja from behind.

cheers,

I play PR for the teamwork element of it esp. in squads. I can get survive longer when alone, because i ll attract less atention that way. And even if the rest of the squad is leaning to the retarded side, ill still stick around with them, i dont mind dying or doing the dirty work.

Destroying fobs has two sides to it, sure you re disrupting their resuply flow but in the end everyone is looking for a nice gunfight. And when someone keeps destroying their fobs, a weaker team can crumble within moments destroying what could have been a fun round.
So in that sence even i would rather see that a fob can't be taken down by one ninja so easily as in public games in can be a round breaker.
If you can read this the ***** fell off.

Naw, I like teamwork, like operating/loading/spotting for a well-positioned ATGM, better. I am sometimes -left- alone, though, because the rest of the squad usually starts complaining if we stay and defend, or the rest of the squad gets killed (once destroyed a 4-man FOB squad w/FOB by myself due to lack of squadmates).

Ninja-ing firebases isn't hard. I just don't like doing it, and I'd rather play as a team and have a (in my mind) relatively realistic experience.

If both teams are both filled with great teamwork, and great squads working together. You wont do allot on your own.

If you are in the 1337 team, and the other team is not working in squads at all, and they are all not that good. You will rape every squad and everything els, when you are on your own.

Even when both teams are completely fucked because of the lack of teamwork, ya will accomplish more alone then in a squad..

But if you join a good server, with allot of teamwork. Say, TG or PRTA. Which works on mumble. In these servers, its way harder, and more useless to go alone. Because everyone on the server pays attention to stuff. And because of mumble people will quickly find out what is going on where. So you will be spotted way faster then in a server without communication at all...

Also, by the use of mumble you can let your squad leader+Team know, exactly where the cache is. And in these servers, the team will find a good way to go towards it, and take it down. By using allot of teamwork.. And be honest, nothing is better then that.

Although, on some servers that lack players that use common sense, and are all lone-wolfing, is it very easy to get 30 kills and 0 deaths..
These servers make the game feel like a freaking CoD (Call of Duty) Game. These servers make the game look bad, because people go around and do shit that you just told us about.

I really think that these kinda servers should get a warning, and in the end, just get their server license removed.

I haz sp0k3n..
