I'll have to dissappoint you, but I think you'll need a new PC and this time not a laptop (I hate laptops anyway, not good for games).
I'm not sure if you can 'upgrade' laptops as you can with usual computers, but looking at your specs I would suggest that upgrading it has no point and best thing to do is just buying a new one or assembling a new one.

you'll need ATLEAST 2GB RAM.
...and you haven't stated your graphic card, that is important too you know.

That laptop looks so old. I doubt there's much harware left that will actually work (read: is compatible) with the motherboard in that thing.
I hate to break it to you, but that laptop is just about good enough to browse the internet or play Tetris. Much more and it'll start to die, very slowly at first and then suddenly BAM.
taken straight from the manual the system requirements are:
Windows Xp/ Vista or Win7
Processor: Minimum of a 2GHz DUAL CORE processor, with at least 2.4GHz recommended.
Memory: 1GB, but at least 2 GB is recommended. (Personal note: If you are on vista or win 7, you're going to need more than 2GB, since Windows already nearly hogs 1 GB of RAM)
Graphics card: At least 128 MB of RAM for very low resolutions. Prefered 512 or more.
I suggest you start saving money and get a new rig.
One that has the minimum specifications you -might- be able to get for about 300 euro's. If you know computers (which I gather you don't, since you're asking this question
) you can get it cheaper if you assemble it yourself.

I reckon the only thing you can really do with reasonable cost (about ?20 probably) is buy another stick of ram for it (find out if it has 2 slots, if not, buy a higher capacity one and ditch the old one). But the main things you'll need to find out is what type of ram is it (im going to assume DDR1 or possibly DDR2 667mhz) and find the amount of sticks you can fit, and the amount you have it (possibly 2 512mb sticks). Then usually ebay would be a good place to look for dated laptop ram.
