VOIP problem

Hello everyone!
I have a strange problem...
Sometimes when I'm in game my VOIP won't work... I can't talk to anyone and I can't hear anyone. I do have VOIP enabled in the settings.
But sometimes the VOIP "wakes up" and I can talk to my squad members and I can hear them. But I can hear them only through my speakers. I don't get VOIP sound in my headset.
I really don't know what the problem could be, so I thought you guys could help me out

BF2 uses the "Default Device". Make sure in "Sound", "Playback" your headphone device and in "Recording" your microphone is set as "Default Device".
Also do not "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" for your microphone and headphone (Properties -> "Advanced"-tab).

Thanks for the response.
But I still have some problems.
The mic problem is fixed, and it's now recognized in-game.
But I wanted to make my headset as default device, but I couldn't since the headset wasn't listed. I only have speakers and HDMI output. I've selected "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices", but no luck. I went and set it to search for the device, but no luck once again. Now I have my VOIP sound through speakers and not through my headset... still.
I've disconnected my speakers from the PC, but still I couldn't see my headset anywhere.
Is there a solution to that?

The headphones will not always be listed as "Headphones" they will be either called "Speakers" or have the name of the sound card they are connected to.

How/Where exactly are your devices connected?
Unless you are using a seperate sound card I would guess you are using Front and Back Panel connectors. This usually means that both devices are actually only connected to one sound card - your onboard sound.
If this is a realtek sound chip and you have "Realtek HD Audio Manager" installed you can choos "Device advanced settings" from the upper right of the manager. There you can tick "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaniously" you should get a second device in the list enabling you to seperate the sound as you desired.

I don't have REALTEK but there was an option in my soundcard settings to have redirected or independet headphones. I had it set to redirected, there was the problem.
Too bad I can't have sound through speakers and headset though =P.
