Is there any List which vehicles are inside the game and wich weapon from it kills other armor?

There are so much vehicle and when you drive you must name The squad after a vehicle and now the weak point of vehicles and there exact names.

For example the IDF vehicle can blew up with a 249

A ApC cant kill a tank with Armor penetrating bullets? i used to pump 30 in a tank, nothing happes..

Or is there a Map with ALL vehicles to test?

You don't really have to name your squad after the exact name of the vehicle. For example, you could just use "Tanks" or "APCs" instead of "Abrams" and "Bradleys"

Also, if you are going to try to take out a tank with an APC you should use the ATGM's, not the cannon. Although the rounds are armor piercing, they will not do much to an MBT.

I'm not aware of a public "official" list that shows the data you are asking about, but if you scan previous topics I'm sure you'll find DEV posts that do disclose that information.

I am also guessing that anyone with a little coding knowledge could simply open up some game files and examine the code themselves to figure out all of those numbers, but it sounds like a lot of work.


As for squad naming, there are no specific "rules" that I've seen. Different servers have their own little rules and regs, but generally nobody is going to be anal about the specifics. For example, I see no problem with an "Apache" squad instead of "AH-64D in Ground Attack Configuration C". Even a simple "Attack Helo" title would work fine. And yes, you should get plenty of practice with an asset before trying to grab them on a full public server.


As for an APC firing at an MBT, you're just wasting ammunition. Nearly every MBT in the world, even some old-as-hell T-55 is going to be strong enough to deflect an APC's rounds. Basically, 30mm, 25mm, 14.5mm, what ever an APC is using is just going to bounce off of a tank's shell. Sure, you might be able to damage external components such as imaging systems, comm antennas, crosswind sensors, etc but that's about it. So I would think that in PR, and APC is going to be ineffective against an APC as well. You'd need a more specific answer on that though from a coder, which I am not.


And I am to understand that the Training Mode maps, which had greatly reduced spawn times and were full of tons of vehicles, have been removed from PR. There is a Single-Player mode though, and you might be able to use that to test vehicles.

I'll be speaking mainly blufor here;

INF:
H-AT destroys all vehicles, except for MBT's, which if hit on the front armor it may only critically damage it.
L-AT destroys most light armor (apcs) in one hit, may take up to 2, rarely 3 in the front armor. Helis takes 1-2 LAT's to destroy.

Concentrated rifle fire can destroy trucks, jeeps, etc. BRDM-2's require 7.62x51 (G3, PKM) concentrated fire.
5.56x45 (m4,m16) is known to destroy light vehicles as well, such as M249's destroying MT-LB's, etc.

insurgent RPG's (not tadem) require about 1-2 (3 rarely) hits to take out apcs. Tanks require about 6-9 iirc. Tandem RPGs destroy apcs in 1 hit, but take 2-3 to take out MBTs.

SPG's can take out tanks in 5-8 hits with HEAT. Apcs require 1-2 as well with HEAT. HE frag are used for infantry.

APC:

12.7mm (.50 cal) Can destroy up to BTR-60 armor. Good mostly against infantry at range. Helicopters require concentrated fire.

14.5mm (BTR) Can destroy up to AAVPs with concentrated fire. Can destroy helicopters with relative ease.

25mm AP (USMC LAV, Canadian LAV, Chinese APC's ) Can destroy up to BMP-3's. Cannot penetrate tank armor in the rear. HE can destroy vehicles as well, but with less effectiveness.

30mm (BTR-80A, MTLB w/30mm, BMP-3) Can destroy Tanks with very high concentrated fire AP rounds. Good against APCs. HE can destroy helicopters easily.

40mm (AAVP7) - Very low penetration. Can destroy up to BTR-60. High splash. Infantry uses 40mm HE, Not HEDP that the AAVP7 fires.

100mm Gun/Launcher (BMP-3) HE Frag rounds can destroy infantry positions, houses, fobs with relative ease. Big blast.

100mm Cannon (T62[militia]) Super slow reloading. AP can destroy enemy armor in 2-4 hits. Can destroy apc's in 1-2 hits. Only use HE for killing infantry, destroying firebases, etc.

120mm Cannon (Blufor; Abrams, Leopard, etc) Fast reloading. AP can destroy enemy armor in 2-3 hits. Rear shots = more damage. HEAT shells are used as HE, as the name is misleading. HEAT shells do not do more damage than AP against vehicles, even if the HEAT shell can penetrate the target. For example, a HEAT shell will do less damage against a BMP-3 than an AP shell would.



125mm Cannon (Opfor; T-72, T-90) Slower reloading than 120mm, but faster than the 100mm on the T55. Can destroy enemy armor in 2-3 hits. Again, rear shots do more damage. AP does more damage against vehicles. HEAT does more damage against infantry, emplacements, etc.

TOW missile: Destroys all vehicles in 1 hit, rarely 2 hits for MBT. T90's, BMP-3's, and Bradleys have TOW missiles. A special tow rack is used on the Bradley, and the bradley must wait about 8 seconds for the tow to be operational.


TL;DR TOW for anything that can kill you (armor, not air.) AP/APFSDS for vehicles HE/HEAT For infantry/ when in need of blast radius

It's possible to detrack, destroy the antennas, gunner primary sights, and possibly kill the commander if you hit him through his cupola. You can also disable their ability to fire anything out of their main gun, destroy the coaxial gun, destroy their suspension, and in close range, destroy their engine.

Even if the tank can drive away, you've made them a sitting duck.

Even though, as Dev1200 said, 30mm can damage MBTs, I wouldn't suggest it unless its a last ditch effort.

He also forgot to mention 40mm Grenades (UGL + Mk19) use HEDP rounds (which feature a miniature shape charge) and can kill a BTR-60 in about 12 hits (I remember a DEV posting about this, cba to find the post). As well as an MTLB in about 8. These have to be direct hits, however, or else they will do zero damage(the MTLB might experience some light damage, but not much).

The MTLB is extremely susceptible to light arms. It takes a lot of them, but you can kill them even with 9mm rounds from a pistol or MP5 to a 7.62x51mm or 5.56x45. I have a video in the Tales from the Front forum that shows us taking down an MTLB on Silent Eagle Infantry layer if you would like proof.

With 5 M16's firing and one M249 how long would it take to kill one? I'm interested if its possible to use that strategy to take out an MTLB on Muttrah when no AT is available.

More like 1-2 to destroy a MBT - I have killed three Challenger 2s with a total of four missiles. 3 per tank would be just really bad luck.

^^Yesterday i was on a server, we played Muttrah and me and my mate wanna drive. There was a MBLT Squad and a BRTM Squad. So different vehicle SQ are allowed on this sever.We Create a APC Squad and get a Vehicle but was instantly warned to be banned

The vehicle was a MTLB with a .50 cal or something, theres another one with Anti Tank Armor and some BRTM with Tires..So i closed my SQ drove vehicle back and joined BRTM SQ...

They name MTLB cause its the strongest one in Muttrah MEC side and its a specific name---BRTM is specific too?

Problem is there a so much more vehicles in PR....

So a list with Pictures would be nice..yes i can google but i dont find it sometimes..

As with the BTRs and MTLBs on Muttrah. Since some servers have the asset-name squad rule, people will be over specific to get the vehicle themselves. Say you start an "APC" squad. Well that would entitle you in some server to ALL APCs on your teams side (to an extent, I don't know the EXACT rules of every server). You making a BTR squad makes people think you just want to use the BTR-60s. SO someone makes an MTLB squad so they can use the MTLB w/ 30mm Cannon because it is a more powerful, yet much more valuable asset.

The acronym "MBT" means Main Battle Tank, or just "tank". Examples would be the M1A1 Abrams, T-72, Type 80, etc.

The term "APC" means Armored Personnel Carrier, but the term APC is also widely used by players for IFV/CFV's as well. In general, an APC is a vehicle capable of transporting soldiers but has minimal armor protection unlike a light-skinned vehicle (such as a Gaz or older HMMWV). Examples of an APC (as the term applies to PR) can include the M2A2 Bradley, BTR-60, BMP-1, etc.

And the term "MTLB" refers to a specific vehicle, not a vehicle class like the acronyms above. The MTLB is a Soviet APC, and its chassis has been used in a large variety of additional vehicles. For example, the SA-13 uses a modified MTLB chassis. They are pretty nice vehicles in my opinion, and the ones I have been on were very...fun.

It's hard to tell from your comments, especially being one-sided, what the reason was for them to warn you about the squad. It's possible that they wanted all APC's in a single squad, or maybe you were "stealing" the vehicles that another squad had already reserved.

The BRDM is also another light "APC", although it's usually used in the Scout/Recon role and not as a true APC. The BRDM-2 does use wheels instead of tracks, just like the BTR series (another APC). The BRDM-2 has a turret-mounted 14.5mm HMG in addition to a coax MMG.

I guess it's about time for someone to actually come up with some sort of "PR Vehicle Recognition Guide". I'd do it myself but it'll probably be another 2-3 weeks before my PC is up and running.

Until something like that can be made, you can use Wikipedia for basic visual recognition. Although not the best source for references, they usually do have at least a couple photos to get a general idea of what the vehicle looks like. And in most cases, none of the vehicles in PR have closely-similar appearances.

The key is to make sure you get their designations correct first. Trying to search Google or Wiki for a "MBTL" or "BRTM" isn't going to bring up a good result.


Most players learn the various vehicles simply by playing the game for a while, joining the various nations, and taking a look around. Over time, you should be able to figure it out just like the different weapon systems.

MTLB, which one is ingame?

Again, you need to make sure you get the designations correct. There is no such thing as a BRTM, it's called a BRDM. The specific model in PR is the BRDM-2, with the "2" being very important if you are looking it up online for photos.

The BRDM-2 is technically not an APC, as it does not carry any additional troops. It has a crew of 4, and in a non-combat situation you can have 1-2 crew members dismount for Scout/Recon operations if needed. In most cases though, all recon tasks are performed from within the vehicle.

Edit: That is regarding the real BRDM-2. In PR, I don't recall the actual seating capacity. But in PR the BRDM-2 should be used for scout/recon, infantry support, convoy escort, etc.

In PR though, nearly every player I've seen still considers the BRDM-2 as an APC because it's lightly armored and has a weapon system.



As for which model of MTLB is used in PR right now, I can't answer that one. I haven't played PR myself since they were added, or it's been so long since I last played that I can't recall which one was there. Most likely though PR is using the base MTLB version. I have seen the SA-13 as well, but I can't recall if it was used actively or was just part of the Kashan Training map's selection. Back then, the training map had several vehicles that were not used on normal maps.

I think there was talk about adding the MTLBu, in addition to similar vehicles like the M577. But i think that was part of an idea to update the Commander tents into something better. I don't think that has been done yet though, and might just have been an idea only.

If you look at the community modding section you will find a topic called something like community training map.

It contains ALL the vehicles from ALL of the factions.
