Re: Which headset are you using?

Got it as a birthday present 1 and a half years ago from my girlfriend. So far it's still great, I have a great sound card so I can literally hear / tell what direction an enemies footsteps are coming from in PR.

Use a cheap inline mic/earphone set as mic (looped around the lcd stand - only mic cord plugged in) and my usual senheisser cx 300 II Precisions for audio. The mic came free with a Win XP mag about 6 years ago.
Works like a charm.

I'm using a Regular Logitech Headset (Clear Chat) ,works pretty fine ,except the mic is really hard to move farter or closer of your mouth..... (can turn at 270degrees but you can only put it at 1" of your mouth....)

I had been using a Zalman mic as well until my parrot, err... "chewed through" the cable. Got a cheap Hama mic as a replacement.Redline.ss wrote: just replaced my hd555's with Audio Technica ATH-A700's. Use a Zalman clip on.
I'm an Audio-Technica owner too, using M50s with a Carat HD1v external DAC. Not bad, but there's still a lot of room for improvement...

Fatality MK II, I'm so glad I didn't get a USB headset since both of my front ports are always in use by something.

Plantronics Gamecom 367

Bit of a huge thing compared to my old Plantronics Audio 350. Also, i think the Audio 350 had better quality. But i'm now so used to this one, that I might think otherwise if I return
-edit-
Wow, didnt expect so many Gamecoms in one thread

Re: Which headset are you using?
Gamecoms are good, i used to have one, and recommended them for value for money.
Currently i'm using a Razer Carcharias Heatset. Most comfortable headset I have used. Very light but substantial too.
Long cable, clear mic. No ear pain after 3 hour sessions of PR.

Life and Death:
Medusa 5.1's - Headband broke / stress fracture / design fault. (Acceptable lifespan) (expensive)
Sennheisser PC350 - Electrical Failure. (shortest lifespan) (expensive)
Plantronics Gamecom 350 - Plastic adjustable band failure / stress. (longest lifespan) (cheapest)

Don't be hatin.
I just be representing.

It's a Cyber Acoustics AC 101
Sucks it only had one hearing pad, quite uncomfortable, rather have a good one, but this one cost me 5 bucks, worth it in the long run, had it for a year now.
