Yep, to all those who havent read it yet, Desert Combat died at .7

.8 has been made by a very small crew of the DC devs, anything after it wont be a trauma release....

yeah, its about the lowest thing that has happend all year. However one good thing that comes out of this is a greater excitement and appreciation that DC was the first step, and now we get to look forward to BF2 and our mod. A cut above the rest.

To be honest, I really looked up to the DC Devs. Because of their great work I wanted to someday do that. I tried skinning and modeling with no succes, but still was amazed at their work. I never talked to them much obviously, but defended them on other forums. Now, like Aggie Said, " Thank you for making me look like a **** for sticking up for you guys."

They kept the community in the dark, it only take five friggin minutes to post something decent depending on your typing speed. Im going to feel somewhat bad buying BF2 knowing some of that money is going to Frank..

Aww, c'mon! Nothing is stopping us from playing DC! This just means there won't be any huge changes after .8. I'm sure DC fans will still play DC, and create some new, entertaining maps!

Chin up soldier! Now go find a DC server to keep you occupied until BF2 (and this realism mod) comes out!

Ive been with DC since .4, it was pretty much the first time I had ever played an online game. Now in some senses its dead, and the fact that the devs were just gunna let us sit here forever thinking we were gunna get DC .8 and .9 and 1.0 and maybe beyond... thats not cool. At least we get unnoficial DC, but even troybob said he wasnt sure if they would make ".9" at all.

I knew this was going to happen but I just didn't want it to. Every LAN I have been to at my friends house for the past year we have had at least one game of DC. I still play single player instant battles from time to time. Atleast 'Reality' will be here instead to help fill the void
