All commander controls

I wanna know everything. On west fallujah, the US team was failing miserably so I decided to take uP command since my squad leader wasn't the best tactical planner. With that, we went from 7 caches to destroy with 150 tickets to lose with only 2 cache. But while I commanded, besides marking stuf on the map I didn't know much of the controls. How do you use uav? What buttons do you press to select the entire team? Or just 2-5-7. How do you call in jdam? I need to know everything about the commander. I really like the tactical aspect of the game

there are no buttons for the co. the uav is not working anymore and you cant choose multiple teams.
the only really important note:
while selecting a sqd and pressing the normal voice button, you can talk to every specific sqd. with pressing "v" your a talking to all sqds at the same time (same as in vanilla).
the most useful job a CO can do is to bring the sqds doing something specific and the only tool PR hands him for this job is his voice. that means you have to pray to your sqds which can become pretty fast annoying cause many SLs dont like COs telling them something to do and they just ignore you. because you have no authority you cant do anything against this.
in the rare case the team is talking to you, this could be a good example how a good Co will work (without any buttons):
you see 1sqd requesting helitrans, your helisqd is busy so you are telling this squad to move meanwhile to a plain insertion point. suddenly this sqd reports tank inc, you are withdrawing the choppers from the hot zone and you are ordering instead the tanksqd to this position. while sq1 gives you intel on the enemy tank you can pass this to your tanksqd to bring them in comfortable positions. and so on and so on ... its all about communication and informtion flow, no buttons

so, the position "Commander" is a misunderstanding, he cant command in any way. he can just be a tactical advisor or a supporter. as supporter a CO can be very effective but its far away from this what a guy that is called "COMMANDER" is supposed to do.
in my opinion the reason why 95% of all games are running without CO.

Some servers have rules where Commanders of a team have all say, and if you don't follow orders(as long as they do not break other rules) then you can be kicked. Tactical Gamer is like this. Our CO can assign assets, order squads, organize the team, etc.

Even if you do have authority that is enforced by rules and admins, its still a good idea not to "order people around" per say. Its better to give them the BF2 order, tell them the reasoning you want them to go there and maybe how it will support the team and let them send you feedback. Its always good to be a commander that gets on the good side of his team. If you don't... well, that's whats the Mutiny button is for.

Now when talking to squads, try not to use your "V" button (Commander Channel button) too much as that sends to EVERY squad in-game. If you click on a squad you can use you VoIP button (PTT, B by default) to communicate to only that squad. If you want to send an order to multiple squads at once, then I believe you have to hold ztrl and click on the squads you want to send the order to in the Commander View.

Oh, and the UAV is disabled via server hotfix due to it crashing whole teams/servers. Will be back next patch.
