BF2/PR Freezing Issue

I had BF2 patched to 1.5 and it worked fine, after i installed PR I am unable to join any servers when i try to join it freezes the game up in the server list and i have to use task manager to close the game down. This happens when i try to play with bots too, it will load the map up and freeze once it is finished loading. Also if I click on the audio tab it freezes as well. I have reinstalled many times and the problem won't go away.

Sometimes does not complete, but looks like it does.
To find your version of BF2
run PR in 'windowed' mode
Look at the upper left corner
you should see
v.1.5.3153-802.0
