Punkbuster kicks for "packet loss" - we need YOU to write a ticket!
A lot of servers have experienced mass kicks by Punkbuster for "packet loss" (restriction 9014).
THIS IS NOT A CLIENT-SIDE ISSUE.
To put some pressure on Evenbalance Inc. we need ALL OF YOU to open a support ticket on their site.
STEP 1:
Go to
Even Balance Technical Support - End User License Agreement
and agree to the EULA (if you agree that is).
STEP 2:
Fill out the online form and copy & paste this (problem/issue):
Please address this issue as soon as possible as it has negatively impacted a LARGE community of Project Reality BF2 players and server administrators.
Punkbuster is currently mass kicking player for PB restriction 9014 (packet loss).
This is not a client-side issue and should be addressed by your team with a sense of urgency.
Thanks in advance for your prompt resolution to this matter.
STEP 3:
Submit support request by clicking on the respective "button" at the bottom of the page.
STEP 4:
Check for updates (by clicking the link provided to you via e-mail).

Why am i the only one never effected by PB in any way? o_O
Although it does suck to see a server go from 64 players to 3 in a split second

For what it's worth:
to submit so you have more info while you are pulling your hair out, today that is happening very heavily in many AIX mod servers as well.
I have not yet tried BF2 Vanilla.
The only coincidences I have seen in about 15 games now, is that it happens when I am about to engage certain people, or get a valuable flag.
I cannot yet say that I think it is a hack, so do not interpret that last part as such.
It usually happens to groups of people as well, one person said it only he thought it seemed like it happened when one certain guy targeted our squad from the air. Then our whole squad and 6 or so other would start getting kicked. I mention this only as a superfluous detail.
It certainly IS NOT something with PR then obviously.

Got an update just now from evenbalance and they told me to try playing again. Maybe they fixed it. On the road ATM. Also noticed ticket status was closed.
