Playing PR without PB - observations

I had a good round on NWA Al Basrah and it was striking how the Brit Logi was almost lagless where normally it's nearly undriveable for me. Shocking difference.

Several other players remarked that there was far less jitters/rubber banding then with PB running.

Didn't notice a plethora of aimbots and what not ... yet.

i remember ages ago on iGi i think it was where there was a passworded event with PB turned off.

Was the first time i could fly the Trans LB on qwai without lagging and crashing.

As soon as it becomes 'common knowledge' that PB is off in PR, hackers will SWARM in.

For now it's fine, because only people who lurk here every day know, but like Rudd says, give it a month...

As soon as the issue is fix by PB the server will be back to normal. This is not and will not be perm.

Maybe it is not just PB in general, but too many tasks that are run via PB like to many Screenshots taken and to many MD5 Checks running.
And yes - turning off PB would destroy the game in the long run.

I'm in no way insinuating we should run without PB - I just didn't realise it had such a slowing effect on the game - that Brit Logi truck brought it home how 'heavy' PB must be.

I didn't notice a difference, however as an Insurgent I DID get 9 kills to 4 deaths (and one of the deaths was from trying to get off a high building) ..

So maybe you're on to something..

Here is a thread about increasing FPS by changing how often does PB scan your pc.

If you have stutters because of PB this is a chance to fix it.

People pay 60€ and wait 3-6 hours to cheat on COD...

So if they can cheat for free, even better.
