I attempt to start up BF2 through Steam, through both the PR shortcut and the regular steam shortcut and I get an error before it boots me back to desktop.
"memory.dll: thread 3380 is deallocating main thread memory"
This happens even after reinstalling BF2 through Steam. Any ideas?

1.clear,delete your BF2 cache
C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache
or C:\MyDocuments\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache
try game.
2.reset your pagefile (mycomputer rightclick-properties adv,systemsetting,performance,advance,virtual memory-
retick the set pagefile system size & apply reboot)
3.defrag your pagefile (page/reg/defrag prog) (try game)
usually those fixes Work if not then it IS-
4. run a memorytester-replace the bad stick of ram.

Tried the above steps, tested the ram, nothing is busted. I even attempted to increase the pagefile size beyond what's required, and it still gives me the same error.

Re: BF2 crashes at launch
I added more size to my pagefile, cleared up a whole bunch of random processes and now it randomly works. I wish there was some sort of logic to this
