I've the following problems with my bf2 editor setup:
When I start the bf2editor I get after some seconds the following error:
alert box: "Failed to init sound!"
In the output window:
[SoundEngine] : OpenAL error: Could not find BF2OpenAL.dll.
[SoundEngine] : Failed to open 3d provider "Software Audio"
Of course there is a BF2OpenAL.dll in my Battlefield 2 root folder. Just right where the bf2.exe and bf2editor.exe are.
Do I need to copy that dll elsewhere?
The other problem is when I have lightmapped some objects I can no longer control the map screen. When i press space and move the mouse, nothing happens. The only thing what is moving somehow are the object selection markers.
Every editor menu is working. Only the map screen is frozen with the last view before LMing.
The only fix seems to restart the editor after lightmapping.
Is there something I can do to fix it?
I'm using Win7/64 and a Nvidia GTX275 video card. Even XP compatiblity mode doesn't fix it.

this is normal for most people, strangely not for me since I installed 3dsmax

What Rudd said, is common, just restart the editor.TeRR0R wrote: The other problem is when I have lightmapped some objects I can no longer control the map screen. When i press space and move the mouse, nothing happens. The only thing what is moving somehow are the object selection markers.

As for the dll I had that once and just asked someone else to send me theirs over xfire and that fixed it.
