3D Textures use VRAM, not system ram.
WithoutPurpose is 100% correct.
And sorry, but I don't believe you run PR on high with your 8600GT, unless it looks like a slideshow.

FYI: DO NOT have a total of more than 4gb of ram as a 32 bit system can not utilize any more. Hope this helps as I saw a few people advising more than 4 gigs of ram.

I found out that turning off superfetch makes a great improvement in performance. Also thanks Q2M100
