[Help] PR->BF2 Weapon Transfering
(new to modding) For the past 5 hours I worked to move the m16a4 from PR to my personal single player mod for bf2 (not stealing, the mod is my own personal playground for modding practice) the mod is pretty much bf2 with some changed kits and maps. Anyway it all worked perfectly except for one thing, the weapon does absolutely no damage and there is no round coming out of the gun from what I see, I also have a wierd looking crossheir... I attached a screenshot :/ thanks for any help in advance

Re: PR->BF2 Weapon Transfering
you need to recode the gun and its projectile to fit vBF2 standards, the projectile is also using custom PR materials rather than standard vbf2 ones hence why the bullet isn't doing any damage.
The simplest way to do this would be to copy the vBF2 M16A2 values over to the M16A4, things like deviation, projectiles, ROF etc but make sure you don't rename any of the title bits.

Re: PR->BF2 Weapon Transfering
the 2nd one is the 6mag version, rather than 8 mags. Only difference as some kits like the medic have fewer mags than the rifleman in PR

Re: PR->BF2 Weapon Transfering
For the Crosshair it is simple just like frank_beans said:
ObjectTemplate.weaponHud.guiIndex 4
ObjectTemplate.weaponHud.altGuiIndex 53
guiIndex is used for the weapon crosshair in normal mode
altGuiIndex is used what you see when the weapon is in scope/zoom mode
I don't remember all the numbers for the game it self as to which number is what but here it goes the one you have is for the shotguns what ever that number is.
4 = normal crosshair
6 = grenade launcher crosshair
53 = is the laser dot for the m4 with aim-point when you zoom in
That's how far I remember.

Re: PR->BF2 Weapon Transfering
that would be like the GTA san andreas mp mod, you could replace the textures and models of any vehicles/players/weps and use them in game
