G35 Headset and In game VOIP issue? look here

I bought a G35 headset/mic and have to say it is effing awesome. (Still running vista) The only issue i encountered was I couldn't hear BF2 ingame VOIP. Mumble, in game effects and my own mic were all working just fine. After searching, I found a unsolved thread at logitech's website so I decided to post my own fix here for anybody else w/ the issue:

Ingame audio options: set to hardware, quality high. Deselect EAX! (Your G35 will produce the surround for you.)
When you join in game, you will still probably not be able to hear VOIP. Turn the surround sound switch on your left ear cup off. (You will only be in stereo mode at that point.) Get someone in your squad to talk for a couple of seconds or just time it. WHILE they are speaking, flip the switch on ur left ear cup back to surround sound mode. Works for me every time.
