ctd memory.dll

Post by dirtreynoldz »

Hello everyone,

since i changed my gpu from 6400 gs to 8800gts 512, i ctd during gameplay and map loading.

error: memory.dll all allocation attempts failed for 104539

system: win7 32bit professional
M2N 32 SLI Deluxe
AMD X2 64 5600+
8800 GTS 512
4GB Corsair xms2
WD caviar 640
Terratec 6fire

I had no issues with PR when using the 8400GS, no ctd, only lame performance with all setteings to low and middle. After installing the 8800GTS512 and newest drivers i changed all settings to high, and had my first crash. So i tried to figure out what caused it and read a lot in the interweb. I found some guys with the sqame error message, but those were older posts, most of them used vista and they had the more than 2gb memory problem.
So the fix won?t work for me. I cleared the bf2 cache files, tried all settings on medium, no AA, compatibilitymode to XPSP2/3, run BF2 and PR as admin, it still crashes, even in singleplayer.
BF2 works fine, settings on high and no crashes.

Reinstalling the gpu drivers didn?t fix it, settings on medium didn?t fix it, all other advices i found here and in other forums did not help at all. So i have to play PR with one or two crashes per round, everytime it says memory.dll allocation failed.
I don?t like. Das ist K?se. So anyone has a clue what to try next before reinstalling the whole system and BF2/PR?
Any help is appreciated, thx

Try reinstalling BF2 and PR to get an uncorrupted install.

Did not try this one bc it says patch 1.5 includes this fix.
