Moviemaking: any experiences?

Post by Zoddom »

Hey, its a long time since i made my last PR movie, and I wanted to ask you if youve got some experiences using that PR Bot (what is it exactly :D ),recording or directing a good movie.
One of my most important questions is if theres a way to achieve smooth camera paths, something like camera keyframes in CS 1.6.

all sorts of tipps&tricks are welcome ;)

ps:
i dont intend to make a movie for the awards, already sent my old one, but this event made me f*cking horny! :D

Well you can't use the PR Bot because it cannot be used on public servers...

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

It's a mini vehicle that you can spawn in local matches by typing into chat: "rcon prbot". Then press E and fly around. I personally prefer Battlerecorder, you can slow things down and use it with online servers.

Yes, it's for private matches and reviewing maps etc.

I'd say it's a pretty good idea. Maybe we could do a "community trailer" for the next release? :-P

I'm pretty sure I've seen it on public servers (Co-op, at least).

Well I myself prefer making movies which need as few work as possible ;D
usually doing some artistic movies, whoose focus is on a good composition with a nice soundtrack, the source of the material is not very important.
but id really like to take part in a bigger project :)
