Why don't you have PB installed? Install it and see if that works. Servers with PB enabled will not allow clients without PB to play on them.

PB tends to be a pain in the arse. one of the other guys has it so it should not be the issue. and i rather fix this one before i dive into another one.whatshisname55 wrote:Why don't you have PB installed? Well, if that's the case, did you happen to get an error message from the CTD?

Make sure your game is patched properly (BF2 Patches 1.41 then 1.5)
Got a PROBLEM? Check this: PR:BF2 Installation Guide
Got a common QUESTION? check here first: PR:BF2 FAQ, MUMBLE FAQ
"Hello, IT! ... Yes, have you tried turning it on and off again?"

Re: 64bit CTD when joing server
no, no error message, the error goes like
click PR icon ( or PR.exe in folder)
login
join internet
update list
join random server
crash, with no issue, no windows error. it simply crashes faster than what it takes to shutdown a IE window.
this also happens when joining a direct ip, to a server in a lan party. as soon as it should apper "connecting to server" i crash.
installation went from 1.41, wich came directily on DVD to 1.5 then PR, all the 3 parts.
i read somewhere something about a font thingy. do you guys know waht it it? i have looked for it again and couldnt find it.

About the Font thing: I believe you are talking about this error message: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f370-p ... post784730
However I believe this problem is deprecated.
Please run in windowed mode (+fullscreen 0) to get an error message yourself.

Jsut tried the fullscreen 0. no joy, meaning no error message. Just did a full reinstall, still no joy.
