That is a very good tactic to let them lose their intel points. The same goes for running into their mortarstrikes, it will give you more time to prepare a defense and defend the BLUFOR.falcon153649 wrote:ins. because I love to get bunch of civilians in an empty Gary and let BLUFOR to massacre us.lolol

Probably insurgents, because I love the idea of waiting in ambush for blufor, as well as being the underdog. That said, Ive had better rounds as Blufor with better teamwork etc, but thats probably because there's a more clearcut objective for Blufor.

I love Insurgents, but there is never any teamwork. I always join a squad and try to link up with them, but then I look at the map and realize all 6 of them are ~800m away from each other. I usually just sneak around in bushes lonewolfing blufor squads.

For the most part I prefer BLUFOR, but when we are Insurgent/Taliban we do like to have fun and entertain ourselves ambushing.

Re: Which side do you prefer on Insurgency?
I dont like insurgency because it seems like almost all public servers are always on INS. At any rate, I like the Blufor. Sorry, just kind of wanting more AAS. Example: Last night, out of the top 10 populated servers, there was 7 INS, 2 AAS, and 1 Skirmish. Way too much INS for my tastes. Which leads me to my next question, how much money does it cost to rent a server?
Thanks

Well I must confess that AAS is kind of boring in most servers (look at Kozelsk, Iron Ridge always boring). Only with mumble it could be kind of fun, but that is it. And as most people prefer INS it will be very hard for you to fill a server or you must make a kashan24/7, mutrah 24/7 to gain some succes.ghoststorm11 wrote:I dont like insurgency because it seems like almost all public servers are always on INS. Not sure if that's entirely true. I'm ok with either AAS or INS but I have to agree that there's not enough AAS maps rotating in the servers.ghost-recon wrote:Well I must confess that AAS is kind of boring in most servers (look at Kozelsk, Iron Ridge always boring). I think that this in part is due too many current maps outweigh armor more than infantry. All due to the unbalancement of 64 players limit and outdated maps like Jabal.
The 128 players limit system (if successful), AASv.4 and the new upcoming maps will change that tendency though.
P.S.: I can even understand Iron Ridge (A LITTLE), but Kozelsk? The map rocks so much now and there's always intense fights there. Like everything you must be in a good server to experience it properly.

As for the pool, my vote goes for Insurgency.
They're the underdog and the teamwork is far more satisfying (I mean, when there is one).

Kozelsk is boring because the russian will first rush you with your armor, and when that fails they will just start mortaring you the rest of the round. And the choice of the objectives is always very weird, but that will be solved with the next patch.Arcturus_Shielder wrote:Not sure if that's entirely true. I have fun with either side of ins games. But every round is different.
I've had fun rounds with bluefor, having squads working together over mumble to surround and take caches.
Some maps where the cache ends up in a cave area tends to be a pain, its takes only a semi competent ins team to defend them and can tend to cost a lot tickets to take out.
On the same note, having an ins team that is using mumble and some squad cohesion can be really rewarding. Had some epic rounds with cache in a fairly open area and managing to defend it for an extended time. Or having a nicely laid out ambush work as intended.
At the end of the day, either aas or ins, the game is what you make and take out of it.
I've had appalling rounds on the winning side and epic rounds on the losing side.

I always take a balanced approach both sides have its fun aspect.
What i really don't come to understand is why people like Insurgents less than Blufor.

As does Insurgents. What can you do without tactics and flanking. I on the other side think that Insurgents need more coordination.
They need to lay ambushes and get ready for combat situations more wisely. They might not have tickets but they can easily loose grip of their cache.
Laying out mines and ambushes or giving intelligence are key elements in any Insurgent team.
